The door shut behind us and their questions became audible.

"How are things with you and Y/n?" Kenny asks.

"I can't stand her." Levi deadpans.

"I don't buy it," Kenny says. "I think she might be the one."

"Kenny, is your head filled with air?" Levi asks. "Or maybe water?"

"You can't tell me that y/n is different than any other girl you've ever dated." Kenny reasoned.

"She isn't." Levi agrees. Levi had only dated a few people in the past, but you were like no one else he knew. "That brat's more annoying."

"Then you two have something in common." Kenny retorts.

Levi stares at Kenny in annoyance. "This is, by far the stupidest idea you've had in a long time.

"Give it some more time," Kenny suggests. "Anyway, I've already announced my retirement to the employees, the public announcement will be tomorrow, and the party will be"

"What party?" Levi interrupts.

"The one celebrating my retirement of course," Kenny exclaims. "Did I forget to tell you?"
Kenny looks at his files then back to Levi.

"I probably forgot, my bad," Kenny said.

Levi just stared at Kenny, with intimidation. Before anything else could take place you entered Kenny's office.

"Y/n! I'm glad you're here!" Kenny exclaimed, avoiding Levi's gaze. "How've you been?"

"Fine, thanks for asking Kenny." You said. Levi kept his eyes on Kenny the entire time.

"Well since you're here I can tell you the good news." Kenny clamored. "I'm retiring!"

"Oh, well congratulations." You said. "You seem very excited."

If Kenny is retiring, that must mean, Levi... It suddenly makes sense to you.

"Of course! It means there's going to be a party." He yelped.

"Better timing would've been fucking nice." Levi spat.

"I already apologized runt, what else do you want from me." Kenny spat.

You smile while watching them bicker. Kenny and Levi acted so harshly toward each other but they both seemed to take it light-heartedly. You wished your relationship with your father was like this, or just better.

Anything would be better than what it is right now.

You let out a small laugh. It had been a long time since you heard yourself laugh. It felt nice.

"What's so funny?" Levi question. His icy gaze is now directed towards you.

"Your relationship with Kenny, it's adorable." You admit. "You act as you hate him but deep down inside you can't live without him."

Both men stare at you as if you've said some secret you weren't supposed to know about. Levi parted his lips and arched his brows, but Kenny quickly tugged his lips into a smile.

"Aww Levi." Kenny cooes. "You can't live without me."

"Tch." It annoyed him how right you were.

Kenny turns to you and smiles. "He didn't deny it." You encourage. "He tries again."

"Levi do you hate me?"Kenny asked.

Levi turns to Kenny and stares him dead in the eye. "Yes with all my heart."

Kenny frowns. "He doesn't mean that."

"It's fine, you know the truth. " You say.

After finishing the pleasant discussion with Kenny, you roamed the halls leading back to the workplace with the weird people you encountered a few days ago.

Upon your entrance, the room gets quiet. There were a smaller amount of people in the room. You remember the encounter with them the last time you were here.

They must still be scared of me. Pfft, I can't fire them or anything like that.

Maybe some people got fired? You thought. You didn't want to distract anyone from working.

"Do you think she told Mr. Ackerman about last week?" Jean whispered to Sasha. "Probably not if you're still alive," She whispered back.

Jean scowled at her and tried to scowl at Annie but quickly looked in the opposite direction when reviving a glare from her.

"Kenny did fire a lot of us last week though," Connie said. "Then it had to be for something else." Sasha conveyed.

"What happened while I was gone?" Another employee asked. "Your friend here acted like a complete idiot and almost got us fired."

The employee looked to Jean, in turn, he smiled cheekily. "Don't worry Marco, Annie knocked him out." Sasha grinned.

"You all are terrible whisperers." You state.

The room goes completely silent, again.

"Just awful, but I guess I'm not that far away." You admit. "Also, I didn't tell Levi anything about last week, so that snobby chick who thought I couldn't hear her, probably got lucky."

A few of them laughed. "She was fired." Connie started.

"I guess she wasn't a very good employee." You conclude. The tension in the room slowly evades.
