𝗬𝗮'𝗹𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗳 𝗼𝗳 𝗺𝘆 𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝗴.

𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗹𝘆. The ravenette quickly walked down the hallway and crept upstairs to find you quietly playing the piano.

I guess he doesn't play much.

Though he seemed to appreciate cleanliness, the piano was dusty and out of tune. He probably hasn't played in a while.

You take a cloth you found in the kitchen and wipe away the piano. After deeming it was clean you sat on the stool and gazed at the piano. The light shining down on the piano made it sparkle. It had been a few years since you had touched one.

The piano was a skill you wanted to take up as a child but your father felt it was a useless skill you shouldn't waste your time. Though when you went to college you played in secret without your father ever knowing.

Your mother also played piano. Even though you didn't like thinking about her, you had found yourself in love with the sound of this instrument.

You were not a great self-teacher, you only knew enough to play a few songs.

I might be rusty. You say to yourself.

Your hands barely touch the keys before you pull away.

What if I wake him up? You thought.

From your personal experience, morning Levi was a cranky-ass person. Unclean and rugged but nonetheless irritable.

You stare at the keys which were practically begging to be played.  Screw it, I guess.

You began to play the one song you had learned in full that you loved to listen to. It involved a whole orchestra but you would only be playing a few parts for the piano.

You cringed at every note you missed and the note you played instead, creating dissonance.

That was a lot better than I expected. You thought.

After finishing a small noise caught your attention. You turn your attention to the silver-eyed man leaning on the wall near the stairs.

"Shit." You mumble.

Feeling like you made a mistake you stand and begin to move from the piano.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to"

"It's fine." He assured.

"No I should probably stop, it didn't sound good anyway." You admit.

"It sounded nice to me." He mumbled, barely loud enough for you to hear.

You examine his expression, but he looks as pissed as he always does.

"Can you play?" You ask.

I'd love to teach you, Levi.
That's ok, I'd rather listen to you.

He shakes his head. "Well if you can't play, why do you have it?"

"It has a piano and everything."

"Tempting but no, sweetheart."

Levi didn't answer and instead looked downward. "It's just for show." He stated the smallest hint of sadness laced in his voice. You caught barely caught it, for it was subtle.

Oh, it must be personal. You thought.

Before you could say or do anything else, your phone rang.

"Hi!" You greet.

"𝙃𝙚𝙮 𝙮/𝙣, 𝙄'𝙢 𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚." 𝙈𝙞𝙠𝙖𝙨𝙖 𝙨𝙖𝙮𝙨. "𝙄 𝙖𝙡𝙨𝙤 𝙝𝙤𝙥𝙚 𝙞𝙩'𝙨 𝙤𝙠, 𝙄 𝙞𝙣𝙫𝙞𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙖 𝙛𝙚𝙬 𝙛𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙨."

A few friends? You think. I know enough people.

And how many is a few? It's 2 right?

You tend to feel a little antsy when having to meet new people, usually because they seem to dislike you every time you meet.

"𝙏𝙝𝙚𝙮'𝙡𝙡 𝙢𝙚𝙚𝙩 𝙪𝙨 𝙖𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙢𝙖𝙡𝙡," Mikasa explains

"Alright, I'll be there in a minute." You reply.

"𝘼𝙡𝙧𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙗𝙮𝙚." She replies.

You hang up and place your phone in your pocket.

It's fine, nothing to stress over.

You turn to Levi, who isn't there anymore.

I shouldn't keep Mikasa waiting any longer.

You walk away from the piano and head to the front door.

Mikasa was patiently waiting in her car, when you open the door and stepped outside.

You wave at her and strode to her car.
