Edward's POV
I reluctantly followed Bella into the woods praying that she didn't really know my family's secret. We stopped a good couple of miles away from the school and out of earshot of anyone save for the forest animals.

We were silent for a moment while Bella caught her breathe. Bella was the first to speak "Your extremely fast and strong. Your eyes change color and your skin is pale white and ice cold," she began her words making more and more anxious that she discovered the truth "You never eat or drink anything, and you never go out into the sunlight."

"How old are you?" She demanded "Seventeen" Bella rolled her eyes "And how long have you been seventeen?" She said in annoyed tone. "A while" "I know what you are. When Jacob refused to tell me about the Quilete legends because of Alex, I went and did my own research" "That was stupid" I commented dryly annoyed by her nosey personality.

She ignored me and continued "I discovered a chapter about the 'Cold Ones', " I tensed at the words that exited her mouth next "or in other words vampires" "Congratulations, you cracked the case, Sherlock. Now what?" I snapped angered by this conversation "I also read about 'mates' and 'blood singers'. Edward I know that I'm your mate" I looked at her disgusted.

"No, you're not" Bella froze looking shocked as if she never anticipated this "W-what? But I love you Edward!" I rolled my eyes "It doesn't matter. I already have a mate, whom I love. You're just a bloodsinger" I turned around to walk away, but Bella ran up to me "Who is it?! That whore Alex?"

I snapped "Don't talk about her like that!" "She'll never love you. Not like I do. She'll only see a monster and be afraid of you. She'll hate you Edward!" Bella tried to persuade. "Doesn't matter. I'd never love you, Isabella. Go home and go back to your normal life. My family and I want both to do with you" I then sped away.

I needed to hunt then go see my mate. She needed to know the truth. Bella knew and it was only a matter of time before she did something stupid.

As I took down a couple of deer Bella's words echoed throughout my head. As much as I wish to prevent that scenario I knew that it was a possibility. I had to tell her the truth, and whatever she decided, I would respect her decision. Even if it killed me.

I walked to The Swan Residence and entered. I told Rosalie and Emmett to leave. I went up to my mate's bedroom and confessed to my true nature. I waited before hesitantly asking if she was afraid. She said no, but I didn't really believe her asking her to prove it.

When she exposed her neck to me and pulled me in close to her I was stunned. Her scent enveloped me like a warm hug citrus and flowers sweetened and made me relax. I kissed her neck and rested my forehead on hers. I loved being one of the few people that she let get this close to her. I rested my hand on her stomach and felt the twins heartbeats beat strongly.

I had to make sure that they were all safe. That Bella was never going to hurt my mate, or our children. "Charlie's in the driveway. I have to go now" I then left through the window. I sped home, and informed my family of what had conspired during the last six hours.
