We went back to my house and Bella and I started to pack bags. We told dad that Esme invited us to go to a retreat to try, and help us come to a compromise. He agreed since one, it was about to be spring break, and two I pointed out that he had the whole house to himself for some alone time with Cora Esme was there and promised to keep an eye on us. She said that Rosalie, and Alice would be going as well and it'd be a nice girls' week filled with shopping, mani-pedis, and bonding. Dad was happy that Bella and I made friends, so he agreed with little hesitation. Also it was girls only, so that means no boys for Bella. ~~~timeskip~~~ Alice and Jasper took us to a hotel while Edward and the rest handled James and Victoria. We stayed at a hotel for a few days in separate rooms to prevent Bella from trying anything. Alice was following James's path since he figured out our ploy, and Jasper went for a quick hunt and to grab us food I requested bbq (A/n: I am in fact craving bbq ribs 😅)
Jasper had been gone for 5 minutes and Alice was in the other room sketching on her vision pad trying to figure out where James would go, when Bella barged in "I started my period and I need to go get supplies. Come with me" before I could respond she grabbed me by my arm and yanked me from the bed where I was watching tv. Bella dragged me out the hotel and to a taxi that was waiting for us. I had a bad feeling about this. ~~~another timeskip because I don't want to be in a car with Bella Swan~~~ We arrived at our old ballet studio much to my confusion. We entered and I heard a recording of Renee call out to Bella. Bella bolted to the voice before I could warn her. Bella ripped open a closet door only to find a childhood video of her and Renee. Pissed off she stomped towards me and looked like she was about to yell at me as if it were my fault that her mother, who was still in prison, was not here. Bella froze as she stared behind me, then I heard a sadistic chuckle.
"You were a stubborn child, weren't you Bella? A spoiled one too. Not as obedient or as graceful as your sister here. Definitely not as pretty either. She's the whole package, unlike you" James purred from behind me "No wonder Edward is so attached. Maybe I'll turn her and make her my pet after I kill you" "No! Kill her! You were supposed to let my mother go, kill her, and turn me! That was the deal!" "W-what?" I asked breathlessly. I was crying out of fear now and I placed both my hands on my stomach in an attempt to shield my unborn children. "Oh, no, no, no. None of that, now. You see your sister and I had a deal that I would give her eternal life and beauty if she handed you to me" James cooed at me. I whimpered and screwed my eyes shut "P-please" I barely managed to choke out. I felt so weak and helpless just like before with Phil, and with those boys'. I hated it. I hate this feeling of being powerless. How was I supposed to protect my babies like this? How was I supposed to protect myself? James continued to coo at me and he grabbed my waist about to bite me, but he froze and pushed my hands away to feel my stomach. He looked at me wide eyed.
Before he looked at Bella with a look of pure unadulterated rage. Before I could blink I was locked into the storage closet, I started banging and shouting to be let out. Bella had taken my phone earlier in the cab, so I couldn't call for help. I started shaking the door handle as I heard glass shattering Bella's fearful pained screams, and James's angry yells. "You know I've done a lot of unforgivable things in my human and immortal life, but I never harmed a pregnant woman or a child!" I faintly heard a snapping sound and Bella's screams get louder. More glass shattered and I heard Bella beg for help, then I smelled smoke. I panicked more and started banging on the door and screaming louder. The door was ripped open by its hinges and there stood Edward looking panicked. He yanked me out of the closet and into his arms. I peered over his shoulder to watch the chaos behind him. Jasper and Emmett had ripped James off of Bella, and were dragging him towards a fire that Alice had started. Esme and Carlisle were hovering over a beaten up Bella who's leg had been twisted at an odd angle and glass was sticking out of her body. She was currently claiming that she was dying and begging Carlisle to turn her. Carlisle was shaking his head saying that her leg was the worst of her injuries. I looked around for Rosalie and saw her appear next to uS. "Edward we have to get her out of here, the smoke" She didn't need to say another word. Edward scooped me up bridal style and sped me to the nearest hospital. Bella, Carlisle, and Esme followed shortly after. ~~~timeskip~~~ The worst part about knowing the truth about the Cullens was having to lie to the people I love. The story we told dad was that Esme, Bella, and Rose were going down to the indoor pool when Rose and Bella got into an argument. Esme managed to break them up, but Bella stormed off and Esme and Rose followed only to lose sight of her after she slipped and fell through the hotel window. Meanwhile Alice and I were baking cupcakes when Alice remembered that she couldn't cook and blew up an oven after adding too much sugar and baking soda. Thankfully the only bad thing about our injuries was smoke inhalation. Emmett had a field day remaking the crime scenes. Edward didn't leave my side for a minute. Dad was relieved to see that we were all mostly okay. Bella complained about having broken leg for prom.
