The next day I forced myself to go to school. Edward drove me in his Volvo while I mentally prepared myself for school and tried to push away last night's memories. We arrived and like I suspected, and feared word had gotten out.
The story of what happened last night was that Lauren, Jessica, Angela, and Bella dragged me along to go prom dress hoping to change my mind about going, and to 'kiss and makeup' about our little disagreements in the past. Bella claimed to have business elsewhere, but insisted that I go with her, so she wasn't alone.
Bella had tricked me and paid a bunch of guys to rape and kill me. Thankfully Edward had been shopping for an anniversary present for his parents in the same neighborhood and swooped in to save me. Of course the police couldn't find any proof between Bella and my attack. The boys were no where to be found.
Not the whole truth, but it was mostly true. Angela rushed over with Ben and hugged me. She cried and sobbed about how it was all her fault and how she shouldn't have left me alone. I managed to calm her down, and we entered the school. Everyone stared with looks of pity. It was uncomfortable, Edward must've sensed it because he wrapped his arm around my shoulders and pulled me close.
~~~timeskip~~~ It was the end of the day, and I was hanging out by the Cullens cars. Edward planned to excoriate me home after talking with Alice about alternative prom night plans. Alice wanted to throw her own tiny little prom with her siblings, parents, and Jacob and I. She talked about us girls having a sleepover afterwards, but went silent when we realized that Bella was approaching us.
She walked straight up to Edward looking cocky and smug which was odd considering the fact that the whole town hated her now. "We need to talk" she bluntly said "There's nothing to talk about, Isabella, you tried to kill Alex. No one wants anything to do with you" "Oh, I wouldn't be so sure. After all it'd be a shame if Alex and everyone else found out about your dirty little secret" Edward froze next to me.
He stiffly removed himself from my side and gently pushed me towards Rosalie "Rose, take Alex home and keep an eye on her there for me please" Rosalie nodded and we all go into the cars while Bella led Edward into the woods.
~~~Another timeskip~~~ Rosalie and Emmett stayed with me until Edward came back. After they left we went up to my room and laid on the bed together where Edward confessed to everything.
Edward was a vampire. A vampire that fed off of animals and could read minds except for mine and Bella's. His whole family were vampires, and Alice could see the future, and Jasper was an empath.
It was silent for a while before Edward spoke "Are you afraid now?" He sound so broken in this moment. In fact his entire demeanor since he returned from his conversation with Bella was sad and heartbroken. What did she say to him?
"No" I answered truthfully. Edward rolled over on top of me "Don't lie" "I'm not. I'm not afraid of you. You had so many chances to hurt me or kill me, but instead you saved my life and protected me from Bella. You're not a monster, not to me at least" I sat up and cupped his cheek "You're my hero Edward Cullen. Thank you for everything" he sighed in relief.
"You truly mean this, don't you?" "Yes" "Prove it then" I pulled my hair away from the left side of my neck and tilted my head to the right. I recached out and gently pulled his head towards my neck. I felt his cool pants hit my skin causing goosebumps to arise.
He leaned in closer and kissed my neck gently. He pulled backwards and rested his head on mine. "What a foolish little lamb you are" I chuckled "And what a sick, masochistic lion you are" he smirked and chuckled as well. He pulled away and kissed my forehead "Charlie's in the driveway, I have to go now, but I'll see you tomorrow" I swallowed "I'll be waiting" then he vanished.
I fell back on my bed and laid there stressed. I ran my hand through my hair as I thought about everything.
First I was falling in love with two men while pregnant in high school.
Second one of them was a vampire.
And third Bella knew about Edward's secret and was trying to kill me.
