I was cleaning up around the house while dad was at work, and Bella was skulking. Lately she's been swiping money from dad's wallet, and using it to buy magic books. For what I don't know, and I don't think that I want to know. I decided that I would go to La Push tomorrow to visit with Jake, and give him the latest ultrasound picture. I'm currently three months pregnant.
He started a baby book and filled it with ultrasound pictures and name ideas. Dr. Cullen says that I should start showing in the next two months, so Rosalie, Alice, and Angela are planning a maternity clothes shopping trip. Rosalie and Alice also want to throw me a baby shower as soon as we know the genders. I'm not allowed know said genders until the reveal.
I'm snapped out of my thoughts as I'm taking a break on the front porch, and Edward decides to jump down from the roof right in front of me. My hand flies to my chest "Edward! Don't do that!" He laughs and says 'sorry' but he didn't really sound sorry.
"You do realize that I have neighbors, right? You could at least pretend to be human until we're inside" I said while rolling my eyes and beckoning him in.
He enters and we both walk to the kitchen. I start to make myself some peppermint tea with strawberry toast for a snack. Edward leans backwards against the counter opposite of me, and watches with a thoughtful expression "Is something wrong Edward?" He shakes his head "No, actually. I came to invite you to my house for lunch next weekend."
I blinked and turned to him. I'd met almost all of his family except for his mother, and the Denali's. "Think of it as your chance to get answers" he said nervously "And meet your mother" he blinked. "Is that what you're worried about?" I nodded meekly "Alex, Esme will love you!" He laughed and wrapped his arms around me, making me smile.
Bella suddenly stomped into the kitchen "I want to go to your house too" she demanded like a whiny child. Edward rolled his eyes "Actually Bella, surprisingly the invitation is for Alex only" he said in a sarcastic voice. Bella smirked and said "Actually, I know your secret. So if you want me to keep quiet about it, you have to take me to your house next weekend too!"
Edward scowled "Fine, but don't forget the only reason we put up with you is to hang around Alex. No one in my family likes you" Bella let out a screech and stormed upstairs "I'm sorry" I mumbled into his chest. He sighed "You have nothing to apologize for" he tilted my head upwards, and placed a gentle loving kiss on it.

I went to Jacob's house with the photos. Jake as usual happily greeted me, and pulled me inside. We found ourselves in his bedroom. Jacob was putting the pictures in the book and writing the date and how far along I was.
When he finished he crawled onto the bed with me, and enveloped me in his arms "What's wrong?" "Nothing" "Tell me" he started rubbing circles on my lower back. I sighed and said "I have a secret that's not mine to share, but I want to tell you, but I can't because I don't want to betray this person's trust."
Jake nodded and said "Okay" I pulled back and looked at him. "'Okay'?" I asked raising an eyebrow. "You said it's not your secret to tell. So I'll wait until you can safely tell me the truth" I nodded and curled back into him "Thanks, Jake" "Anytime."
