I push my black beaded curtain aside as I walk into my room and plop down onto the worn, pink carpeted floor. I pick at my faded dark blue skinny jeans that I wore to work today.
"Ugh, I'm exhausted," I barely hear myself say. Justin doesn't even look up as he is on his stomach, scrolling through Facebook on his phone with one hand and eating his favorite spicy, sweet barbecue chips with the other.
"I thought that I was the exception; I could rewrite your addiction," Katy Perry wails on my tiny stereo that Justin has plugged his phone into.
"Are you listening to Katy Perry again?"
"UGH, yes - you're just mad because this song actually relates to you and Damien."
I roll my eyes. "And how is that?"
"You say that you love me - you won't remember in the morning. You fall asleep during foreplay, cuz the pills you take are more your forte."
Justin gestures to the open air.
"Ok, yes - fine, it does."
"Mmm-hmm," Justin continues flipping through his phone. "Can you walk on my back?"
I listen to more of the song, and it circles around and around in my head for the rest of the week.
