Chapter 14

I start to come to and I can fell Loki slowly stroking my hair still. I open my eyes slightly but it's overly bright.

"Hey, Sasha. How are you feeling?" Loki questions. He stops stroking my hair but holds my hand instead.

"Tired, sore, stupid. Nothing new." I say turning to sit up. Loki helps me putting a hand on my back for support. I slide back in bed to use the head rest. "How long was I out for?"

"I don't know exactly, maybe an hour or two." Loki is still holding my hand and rubbing circles on the top with his thumb. "Your thighs... Why?" He must have seen the scars on my thighs when he changed me.

"Because I needed a new place while my arm healed." There is new use hiding anything anymore. I've already disappointed Loki.

"Why again. I made you promise, and you broke it."

I look away from Loki not wanted to answer his question. Those damn girls, why did they have to be in Florida.

"Please Sasha. I'm trying to communicate with you, please don't make me go through your thoughts."

I let out a sigh and turn back to Loki "those three girls on the beach, they were from my high school. They were always bullying me, looks, personality, the avengers." My eyes start to tear up but I continue knowing Loki will keep prying. "They decided today was the perfect day to bring back an old habit. They saw my scars, and they were saying I was doing it for the attention. I just couldn't stand it."

"Those little bitches. I can't believe they did that. I'm so sorry I thought the spell was strong enough. I didn't realize I went that far out." Loki apologizes.

"No it's fine. It's my fault anyways. I cut my self in the first place. Now what?" I ask.

Loki sighs trying not to argue and says "I booked a flight back to New York. We're going back late tonight. But please promise me you won't lie to me again."

"My promise doesn't mean much anymore, but I promise." Loki smiles a bit and pulls me into a hug. Tears flow down my cheeks, I'm just happy I have someone.

"You should get some sleep. I will pack up as well as clean up. I will wake you when we have to leave." Loki suggests. I want to help but I'm tired and I do need to regain strength.

"Okay, thank you." I break from the hug and lay back down. "Fuck, I really did a number to my wrist." I let out an awkward laugh trying to make a joke but failing.

"Get some rest Sasha." Loki says rolling off the bed.

I watch Loki for a bit collecting the bloody towels and clothes before drifting off into sleep.

"Sasha, Sasha is time to go." Loki says lightly shaking my shoulder. "We have to get on the plane soon."

"Mhm. Okay. Give me ten more minutes." I say rolling over on to my side away from Loki.

My arm still really hurts. I'm just hoping in the airport I don't get stopped at the security for any reason.

"Nope, I gave you ten more minutes already. It's time to wake up. Now." Loki pulls the covers off my body and throws clean clothes at me. "Shower and change, then we go."

I shower and change into the simple jogging pants and sweater Loki throw at me a bit ago. I grab my suit case and head to the door where Loki is waiting.

"Come on sleepy head." Loki guides me down the hall to the elevator and we head to the airport in a taxi.

We finally get on our plane and get to our seats. We are sitting beside each other this time and I have the window seat.

I'm still exhausted so I have plans to sleep on the plane. Me and Loki don't talk much before I fall asleep but it's not awkward.

I end up falling asleep with my head on Loki's shoulder. Loki has his arm around me keeping me close to his side.

The plane ride takes a shorter time then I expect mostly because I slept through the whole thing. We take another cab to the avengers tower and we are greeted by Wanda.

"Welcome home Sasha!!" Wanda says running to me and giving me a hug. I smile a bit not really expecting this.

"I see someone missed me."

"Love, we all did." Wanda says releasing me from her grasps. "Hello Loki."

Loki seems more distant, his attention isn't on Wanda. It is some where else off lost in his thoughts. "Hello.."

"I'm going to go unpack. After I'll be in the common room seeing everyone." I jog off into the tower leaving the two behind.

Wanda can sense something is wrong with Loki, and attempts to read his mind just for the sake of it even though she has never been able to. With her luck Loki isn't focused enough to protect his mind from her powers.

Wanda is shocked by what she sees in his mind, completely stunned. "I- I have to go."

"I'll see you around then." Loki says walking into the tower to his room.

Wanda propels herself off the ground with her magic sending her to the top of the tower to Tony and Pepper's living space.
