Pa was absolutely right, Pran heard quite easily every word that came out of Pat's mouth. The guy became quite sad as he realized that Pat completely misunderstood his intentions. He wanted to clear it, he needed to, but as he left his cabin and turned to the door of his neighbor, while raising his hand to knock on the door, he realized that it wasn't the right moment to do so.

"He won't understand... shit Pat... why do you always have to be so dumb?" Pran murmured to himself, still standing in front of his enemy's cabin. Suddenly, the doorknob turned and the door opened. Pat looked up...

"Oh no..." Pran whispered, knowing that the storm was about to crush on him.

Pat looked quite calm as he opened the door, but when he saw Pran, his eyes immediately filled with rage and hatred.

The guy walked closer to Pran, he came so close to him that Pran had to make a step back, his head reached the window of the corridor, he couldn't move at all. Pat grabbed Pran's jacket and pushed him hardly against the window, a cold shiver went through the boy's spine as his back leaned completely against the ice cold glass.

"Pat... I ... I..." Pran murmured.

Pat didn't spit a word, his eyes were enough to communicate his message... "I hate you..."

Pran managed to pull himself together and cleared his voice.

"Take your hands off or I will report you to the guard..." Pran said. Pa was shocked, she thought that Pran wasn't scared at all... but Pat quickly realized how frightened the guy in front of him could be and smirked at him.

"I hope that you will accept my apologies... sir... I was angry because someone on board is disturbing my sister, I am sure that you would have done the same" Pat added as he let him go.

"No need to apologize sir... but I really wish that this kind of accident won't occur again." Pran replied and walked away.

"Don't you think you overreacted a little bit Pat?" Pa asked annoyed as her brother sat back on the sofa. He just sighed and looked away.

"the snow is quite high near the rails..." he remarked

"Do you really believe that I am in the mood to listen to your stupid comments about the conditions of the rails? Now listen to me. At dinner you will have to go to Pran and apologize properly, can't you have a talk like the adult man you pretend to be?" Pa replied.

"How can you say something like that? You know that Pran and his family are bad people... how am I supposed to feel when I discover that he's hitting on you!" Pat added.

"There is no need to shout Pat... anyway... he's a nice guy... he's surely smarter than you and well mannered... his family is as wealthy as us... I'm flattered that he might consider me as a good partner" Pa answered.

"What..." Pat said shocked.

"Oh come on... you act like you are complaining because he isn't hitting on you" she said chuckling.

"What are you trying to say sis? Do you even listen to what you are saying?" Pat yelled frustrated.

Pa laughed and took a small letter out of her bag and she waved it in front of her brother's face.

"What's that?"

"Well,,, do you remember the period when you studied in England? Well... it looks like the director of your college sent a letter once..." Pa explained.

"I still don't understand why I should care, I've always got excellent grades" Pat responded careless.

"Oh here comes the funny part... it doesn't concern your grades... but your behavior. He says that you had a romantic adventure..."

"Oh come on sis, everyone has a crush during college, I don't understand why you are making such a big deal..." Pat interrupted her.

"A romantic adventure with another guy, that's why the director sent the report" Pa finished.

Pat's eyes widened immediately.

"I... I don't understand... it must be a mistake..." Pat stuttered.

"Yeah I know, that's why I took it before our father could read it... but based on your reaction I must think that the report is actually true, am I right?" Pa added with a smirk on her face.

Pat looked away, he wanted to fight back but he felt like his voice just couldn't get out of his throat. Pa forced her brother to look back at her, she laid her hands on his cheeks and stared at him in the eyes, noticing the tears that were rapidly flooding them.

"Pat... I don't care about it... I don't care if you like girls, boys... or whoever you want... but I don't want you to lie to me ever again... is it clear? I don't deserve it... I've always been ready to listen to you... but I understand why you didn't tell me and I won't blame you for that...now take this, you won't believe how ugly you are when you cry..." she said and handed him her handkerchief.
