Pa and Ink were both in Pat's cabin, the door was close and the curtain covered the whole window, Pa even took one of her coats and carefully covered her brother with that. After a few hours they were both really tired, Pa was still quite preoccupied and she even feared to touch her brother's forehead, fearing that he could be feverish. Ink understood it and did it for her, she then turned to the young lady and smiled at her.

"You don't have to worry, he isn't feverish at all... he's fresh like an healthy baby, we should just let him sleep. He will be ready to annoy you tomorrow morning as usual" Ink said chuckling.

"Thank you very much Ink... you didn't have to do that... I'm... I am really happy to have a caring friend like you... probably not the one that I deserve... but the friend I need" Pa said with an almost sad smile.

Ink chuckled again and responded:

"You actually deserve much better Pa, I can assure you that not all sisters would do what you've done tonight for your brother... you are a kind soul. I'm actually a little disappointed that I'm just a friend though..."

"Wh... what do you mean Ink? I really don't understand the meaning of all this!" Pa exclaimed embarrassed.

"I mean that I would be really happy to be a special friend of your family, you don't know how many times I had to help your brother in high school, he was always ready to get into troubles... Pat the trouble maker, Ink the solver... anyway, I'll go to sleep now, and you should do it too... don't worry, your brother will be fine" Ink said and after kissing Pa on her forehead she walked to her second class cabin.

Pa blushed a little, she touched her cheeks and for a moment she thought that she could have a fever, she pulled herself together and carefully closed the door of the cabin. She then walked to the restaurant car that was unusually silent.

Almost all the passengers had already left the restaurant to go to their cabin for the night... almost... because Korn, Wai and Pran were still there. Unbelievably, Pran managed to calm both of them down, nobody dared to ask how he managed to do so though. Pa walked to their table and patted on Pran's shoulder, the guy turned and smiled as he saw her.

"Oh, Pa... how is Pat? He didn't get worse right?" Pran asked.

"No, I came here to tell you that he's sleeping at the moment and that he isn't feverish. Ink even said that he might be able to annoy us even more tomorrow" Pa replied.

"Thank you... you didn't have to come all the way here to tell us... but I appreciate that you did it... anyway, I'll go to my cabin now, if you need my help you just have to knock on the panel between our cabins and I will come immediately" Pran added

"I won't do it, you did a lot... and you look very tired, I cannot accept to bother you anymore" Pa rejected.

"Pa, listen to me... I know that I look tired, I will be an idiot if I say otherwise, but I am sure that I won't be able to fall asleep... too many thoughts in mind... so please, if you need... call me" Pran said. He stood up and before turning to leave he looked at Wai and Korn and added a few words:

"I'll go to sleep... don't cause any troubles... please..."

A few minutes after Pran left the car, Wai sighed and got off the train. He picked a cigarette out of his pocket and started walking farther from the wagon. Korn noticed that he was going to far, he sighed heavily and put his coat on.

"What do you want now?" Wai asked when a man found him in the forest. The tall man started yelling in a strange dialect, Wai was getting nervous, but his eyes widened when he realized that the man in front of him was a hunter and that he had just loaded his rifle, ready to shoot.

"There is no need to get angry sir..." Wai said frightened, he made a few steps back until he accidentally hit Korn. Pat's assistant heard a click, he instinctively pushed Wai away.

"KORN!" Wai shouted as he saw the guy fell into the snow. The hunter ran away and disappeared in the blizzard. Some engineers who were still working outside the train heard Wai's cry of help and rapidly reached them.

"What happened here?" they asked

"Someone shot him... a man... with a rifle..." Wai stuttered.

"Wh... where is... your arrogant voice... now?" Korn murmured trying to ignore the pain in his side.

"Shut up, you will just make things worse... is it a grave wound?" Wai asked.

"We should let the doctor on board visit him... but you should not worry sir, I've fought on the hills of Manchuria and I can assure you that I've seen people with wounds much worse survive... help me raise him Viktor... one, two... three" one of the crew members said before carrying him inside.
