The Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow (Human! Sundrop/Moondrop x reader)

Chapter 3

        During the drive home dad was silently waiting for me to tell him about Sunny. "Sooooooooo..." He started letting it drift before finishing. "You gonna tell me about your day with your friend?" He asked peeking at me then back at the road. I took a moment to collect my thoughts. "His name is Sunny." I said smiling. "I was wandering around and fell into the slide and at the other end he helped me up. He asked if I wanted to stay for arts and crafts so I did. We read the kids bead time stories so they could nap, cleaned up, played games..." I chuckled at the thought. "When he found me during hid and seek he scared me so bad that I bonked my head."

Dad looked over at me worried as he parked. "Are you ok???" He asked. I nodded. "Yeah, he got so worried he came over and held me, checking to make sure my head was fine." I said. "Well that was nice of him! Tell me more!" He said parking in the driveway. "Well after a few more games, I helped with the kids and helped him clean up. He really is sweet, before finding out I didn't have friends he said I was welcomed to hang out there anytime, and then after he said he'd be my first friend." I looked down smiling as we walked in. Dad went to get changed then came out and put an apron on. It had 'Worlds Best Dad' written on it in a 10 year old's hand writing. I had made it for him after saving up to get him the apron, and he wore it every time he cooked.

He started to pull food out and make diner. "Tomorrow is everyone's off day, maybe you can invite him over for dinner!" He said. "Dad, I'm sure he wouldn't want to stay out late at a friends house for dinner, plus it's too early to ask...." I said now slightly embarrassed. I didn't even know why I was embarrassed, I just was. "I'll make your favorite meal if you do... plus cookies." He tempted me. "I'll text him now." I pulled out my phone and texted him asking if he wanted to come over and stay for dinner tomorrow. I got an almost immediate reply of him being happy and excited. "I would love too! It will be so much fun! I'll get to hang out with you, meet your family, and have fun! I can't wait! What time?" I giggled at my phone and texted back. "How does noon sound?" I asked. "Alright I'll be there by noon! Want me to bring anything?" I told him to just bring himself and what ever he wanted to bring before giving my address. He seemed so happy about it.

"He'll be over by noon." I told dad. "Seems you were wrong now weren't you superstar?" He asked giving a laugh to show he was playing. "Yeah, I always know to listen to my father. He always seems to know the right thing to do." I chuckled and set the table for us. Dad was finishing food up as I sent a final text to Sunny before dinner, just one explaining that I was about to eat and would text him more after I finished up and did dishes. I knew that dad would like to sleep earlier tonight since there was a big party today, so I knew heading to my room would be ok. As we sat to eat, we talked about dads day. I found out that some kid actually fell and hurt his knee during a show so Monty took over singing so dad could help. Luckily the kid was alright after and dad got back up and continued singing.

"Honestly with all that went on today I think I may hit the hay early, is it alright if we don't watch a movie tonight?" He asked. Watching a movie together or a few episodes of a show was our favorite way to relax and hang out together, though some times we'd switch it up and play board games or even do things I really liked. "Yeah! It's alright! I was thinking of texting Sunny so you could go to bed early and rest since I know your day was long." He just smiled and finished up his food. After placing the dish in the sink he took my finished dish and placed it in there too. He came over to me and hugged me before ruffling my hair. "Thank you superstar! If you want you can leave the dishes tonight and I'll do them in the morning." He said smiling. "It's alright dad, I'll finish them tonight so you don't have to worry." I said starting on them. "Thank you, (Y/N). Goodnight, I love you." I smiled. " I love you too dad."

Once dishes were done and dad was asleep, I went to my room to text Sunny. We had texted so long about random things, I ended up falling asleep while texting. The next morning came quicker then expected and I started to clean my room and tide up. I knew where everything was if it was needed and even put a few board game in my room just in case. I went down stairs and realized dad was still asleep, so I made us breakfast before waking him up. once food was done I boiled some water and went to wake up dad. He was sleeping so peacefully. I poked his nose and he opened an eye. "I made breakfast, want to come eat?" I asked and he nodded. I left the room and let him change as I made his favorite tea. "This looks amazing superstar! Thank you!" He said siting down to eat.

After breakfast we cleaned up then played a few card games. Dad would win some, I would win some, we'd tie. I loved playing games with him, but the time came and there was a knock on the door. "I forgot to change!" I panicked. "You go get changes Superstar and I'll get to talk to Sunny for a bit." Dad said, and I thanked him before rushing up stairs. I was changing as fast as I could and at one point I fell because my pj pants tripped me, but I got up and continued before heading down stairs. "Sorry it took so long." I said as I came down. "Superstar, what was that thunk from your room?" Dad asked. "My shirt fell...." I said quickly. "That was a little loud for a shirt..." I heard Sunny say. "I was in it." I explained. I looked at Sunny in awe and amazement.

"If you want we can hang out in my room, I got board games and things we can do in there." I said sounding a little far off. "Yeah! That would be fine with me!" He said getting up. "It was nice to meet you and get to talk to you Mr. Fazbear!" He said holding his hand out to shake. Dad took it and shook his hand with a smile. "Please call me Freddy! It was nice to meet you too!" He said letting Sunny's hand go. He nodded and followed me up to my room. "Wow your room is so beautiful..." I heard him say as we sat on the floor. "Thank you!" I said smiling. Before I knew what I was doing I blurted out my question. "Are you wearing face paint or..." And he just looked over and smiled. "No I get that a lot, but I have a rare skin condition called vitiligo. It's not contagious so don't worry!" He said smiling nervously. "I think you look really pretty..." I told him, making him blush. "Awww thank you! Normally I get bad reactions and confused questions, but that's really nice of you to say." He said rubbing the back of his head. "Y-You know you're really pretty too! Or Handsome.... I'm not here to judge what you like to be called." He smiled. I started to blush and looked at the games. "Thank you... uh... would you like to play candy land?" I asked hoping he wouldn't notice. He let out a gasp. "I love candy land!" I chuckled and pulled it out. "Then let's play!" I said setting it up for us.
