Chapter 9

Moon could tell I wasn't joking about the feelings I had. "I believe you..." He told me. "How could I not when both Sunny and my friend have been pointing it out?" He asked. "I'm sure you and I can get Sunny to come over to your place tonight, and figure it out more, but Sunny needs to come out so he can take you to your dad." He told me as he peaked out of the curtain. "You could take me to him, can't you?" I asked and he looked back. "I know Sunny should be back any minute now. I don't want to chance you getting hurt because of something so small." He didn't look too happy to wait, but thought it was best.

I just sat with him next to me. "If we find who dropped that glass, I'm going to fight them." He clenched his fist as he said it. "So you plan to protect me as well?" I asked jokingly in a sweet voice. He started to blush and his face squished up. "N-no! Why would you say something like that? Sunny would just be mad if you got hurt!" He said, looking away. I just giggled and held his face. "It's alright, come here." I said pulling his face close and kissing his cheek. "Thank you for helping me Moon! I wanted to say that before I lost the chance to." I said, and he just didn't move. His face was a tomato red and he couldn't make eye contact with me. "You're welcome, (Y/N)..."

"If only Sunny wasn't so scared..." He muttered to himself. "I'll have to talk to him later..." I just laid my head down on him and found something to prop my foot on. "This place has too many secrets..." He said just holding on. "Don't get lost or hurt looking for answers." I nodded. "I won't, I promise." He just smiled. "Sunny's more relaxed now, and it should be good..." He said before going silent. The next minute he looked down at me. "(Y/N)! What happened? How did we get here?" He asked me, with a worried tone. His hair poofed up again and I knew who it was. "Sunny I can explain later, but beforehand there are a few things." I told him and he nodded. "Alright... I need to get to my dad but I can't walk... and you have to spend the night with me tonight." I said not thinking of how I worded it.

"W-wait, why do I have to?" He asked, a little worried. I couldn't tell where his mind went, but I knew I had to explain. "Something's going on in the PizzaPlex and that glass wasn't an accident. I'd feel safer if you stayed with me and I know you feel something is off here too so I want you to help me." I told him, holding his hands. "How did you know that?" He asked. "I promise I can explain later, but please." He looked down at me and looked at my body. "He didn't hurt you did he?" He asked me, almost heartbroken. "No, Sunny, I'm fine. He was nice to me and gentle. He even bandaged me up." I told him, hoping it would make him happy to know, but he didn't smile.

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you earlier... You were the first friend I've made in a while, and I was scared to lose you." He said. I just hugged him. "You're my friend because I love every part of you. You never have to fear cus I promise I'll always be here for you." I told him, and finally he smiled. "There's that pretty smile!" I was happy to see it. He picked me up without warning and started to head to the main stage. "I promise to keep you safe like your own personal knight in shining armor!" His sudden boost in mood made me more confident in him than ever.

We made it to the main stage area and dad was singing one of his classic songs. Monty and Roxy were jamming out on stage and Chica was passing out some birthday cupcakes. She came over after seeing us and rushed over. "(Y/N)! I missed you popstar!" She smiled, hugging me and Sunny in the process. "Oh! Who are you?" She asked Sunny, but before he could answer she gasped. "Popstar, did you finally get a boyfriend!? I knew you could do it!" She smiled, making us both blush. "Aunt Chica no! We need dad." I told her. "What happened?" She asked. I gave a quick run down and she ran to get Freddy. I watched as dad looked over at us worried and someone backstage took his place.

"Wow... that's Bonnie?" I heard Sunny ask as Bonnie took dad's place and started singing. "Yeah that's him." I said smiling. Bonnie normally did a one person show, but for dad, he'd take his place for him in a heartbeat. "Do you think one day I could meet them?" He asked me. "Yeah! I'll take you to meet them one day." Dad rushed over and looked at me. "(Y/N) what happened???" He asked. "I stepped on broken glass and I may need stitches." I told him. "Come now! We must get you to the doctors! I'll let the manager know I must leave early, can you two follow me?" He asked. "I'm right behind you sir!" Sunny said following behind him.

As we sat outside the office as dad talked to the manager, there was an announcement. "The Daycare will be closed for a few days due to a manual maintenance check up. We ask that you pick your kids up now from the Daycare. Thank you." Sunny looked up and then to me. "Was it because-?" He started and I cut him off. "Probably that glass shattering! They may have to add new nets or new flooring." I told him. "Yeah, the glass... I wonder what even happened." He started to puzzle. "I do too. Oh! Yeah, I almost forgot!" I said and he looked over to me confused and I pulled his face close and kissed his cheek. "Thank you for helping me." I said causing his face to go red and for him to freak out, though not in a bad way

Dad came out and looked at us. "Is he alright?" He asked and I nodded. "Alright then let's get you to a doctor." He said, picking me up. "Wait! Can I come with please? The Daycare is closed and I want to make sure they are safe." He told my dad and dad nodded. "Of course! Would you mind sitting in the back with (Y/N)?" He asked. "Like in a car?" Sunny asked. "Yes, it would be the only place they can really sit, plus it would give them company!" He smiled. I knew that Sunny lost his family in a car accident, so he may be scared of car rides. "You don't have to if you don't want to!" I told him, but he just looked up to me and the worry washed away from his face. "I don't mind sitting in the back with them." He said as he followed dad out to the car. Dad sat me next to Sunny. "Can I hold your hand and just talk to you?" Sunny asked. I laid down on his lap and took his hand. "Anything to help you." I smiled tiredly. "Thank you shooting star."
