The Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow (Human! Sundrop/Moondrop x reader)

Chapter 7

        I started waking up to the sound of muttering. "Did I grab them in the middle of the night? If I move will I wake them up? What if they wake up and get mad???" He was whispering to himself, and it seemed that I still was holding Sunny. I was to tired to say anything so I just pulled him a little closer. That seemed to quiet him. "Did they hold me all night?" He asked himself. He didn't fully bother to question it and just held on to me. He must have thought I was asleep because I heard him start talking to himself. "I don't really want to move, but I don't want to make you uncomfortable... I really like you (Y/N). you're so nice, and cheerful, so interesting, so fun to be around, so..." He had held on tighter not being able to finish it.

"I really want you to be my best friend for life just like in all those Disney movies... I want to be the prince you can always count on to be there for you, but I'm just the town Jester. I know I won't be a prince, but I can still be your jester and friend." I was doing my best not to move, scared I'd alert him. "You have a really pretty smile, you know..." He said which made me smile. "I feel bad I can't tell you while you're awake, but you give me butterflies, and I don't know how to tell you that." He said. I took a minute to wait before moving a bit as to me waking up. I felt him back up, free of me, and sit up. "Good morning Shooting Star! How'd you sleep?" He asked.

I stretched a little before answering. "I slept fine, how about you?" I asked him. "It was great!" He smiled big. "You did? I'm glad! I know I woke up to get some water and found the storm took the lights out last night, so when I got back I held you, in case you woke up." I said leaving out the part about Moon. I wanted him to feel comfortable telling me instead of finding out due to a power outage. "I hope you don't mind that I did that... I just know you're scared of the dark and would rather you wake up safe then alone. " I was rubbing the back of my head as he just looked at me. "You did that? For me?" He asked. "Well, yeah, I really like you, and you deserve the best."

He didn't even bat an eye as he rushed over and hugged me. I hugged him back, enjoying the moment. "Thank you... You care so much, and it means everything to me." He said in a genuine tone. "Because I care about you Sunny." I told him. I decided to take a shot and I kissed the side of his head. "You're my favorite person." I said feeling him sing deeper into me to hid himself. "You don't ever have to worry with me, and you can always trust me, that's a promise." I said to him pulling him back so he could tell I meant it through my smile. He just smiled back and I could see his face was going from pink to his normal tone.

"Say, what do you say to breakfast? I can make something to eat." I offered him and he smiled. "Could we make pancakes? Can I help?" He asked and it caused me to giggle with his excitement. "Yes you can help! I think it will make it more fun!" I said getting up and offering my hand. He took it and I lifted him up. "There you go my jester!" I smiled playfully and he laughed. "What type of pancakes do you want to make?" He asked and I thought about it. "We can do half plane and the other half blueberry!" I said and he nodded. "Good idea!"

We headed down stairs and started to get the ingredients. I was pulling out food as Sunny grabbed bowls. "How do you like your pancakes?" I asked him. "Sweet!!! I love sugary things!" He smiled and set the bowls down where we can use them. "Alright then we'll need to add more sugar then called for." I said pouring in the flour and sugar. He watched in awe and added the wet ingredients. "Want to mix it or should I?" I asked. "Can I do it please?" He asked and i giggled and gave him the whisk. "Go right ahead!" I told him. He gleefully took it and started to mix it.

I watched as he stirred then lifted the whisk. He looked at it then to me a few times. "Something wrong?" I asked him and he just smiled. "Sunny?" I asked as he took some batter onto his finger and put it on my nose with a laugh. "Hey! No fair!" I said laughing before getting some batter and chasing him with it. We were running around the table and I somehow got him cornered. "Any last words before you get battered?" I asked and he just smiled. " I surrender?" He joked before I got the batter on his cheek. "To late now!" I joked and he laughed with me.

We started to head back over to the batter and split it into two bowls. Sunny handed me the blueberries and was eating some. "Hey (Y/N)! Open your mouth!" He said and I turned to him and opened it. He tossed a blueberry into my mouth and cheered. "Ok ok! You're turn!" I said grabbing a blueberry and tossing it. He had to move to the side to get it, but he still caught it. As we cooked we continued to have fun, even as we cleaned up. He just made things better, even without knowing it. "Wanna set the table and I'll finish the pancakes?" I asked him. "Yeah!" I watched him pull out some plates and silver wear before grabbing butter and syrup.

I started to place finished pancakes on to plates so people can chose which on they wanted. The aroma was making me hungry, but I knew I had to wait. "I'm gonna go get dad, I'll be right back!" I said going to find him. I couldn't find dad inside the house then I remembered the garden. Dad has a garden in the backyard that he just loves, and he will spend time there when he can, so I went back there and there he was. "We made breakfast." I smiled at dad. "OOOOO! What kind?" He asked getting off of the bench. He must have been out here reading the news and drinking tea in the one place that would be dry enough to do it. "Pancakes!" I said and headed in with him following.

All three of us sat down and began to eat. I watched as Sunny's face lit up in enjoyment from the pancakes and it made me start to blush. Dad didn't say anything. "So what did you two do last night?" He asked. "Oh! We watched Ratatouille and then fell asleep!" Sunny said. "Though it was still a lot of fun!" Dad looked up at Sunny and smiled. "That's good to hear! Maybe this can become a weekly thing if you two want! I know I wouldn't mind." Dad said smiling. " I think it would be fun! What do you think Sunny?" I asked looking at him. "That would be amazing! I'm in!" He said almost jumping up from it. He was truly so cute...

Long story short, didn't sleep at all last night, got home from school, passed out, woke up and wrote. Now you guys got a late chapter so I'm sorry about that, however I wanted to ask... What if I started to draw the book as a visual x reader and post the parts to my tiktok? Would that interest you guys? I know it would give me something to do at school.
