The Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow (Human! Sundrop/Moondrop x reader)

Chapter 17

        It had been two weeks since Sunny moved in and he was finally back at work. Though we never asked him to, he started to save money to help with bills and such. He was also doing his best to get along with Moon and they had found they no longer needed to write to communicate, but in fact could talk to one another through their mind space. They got along quite well, even if they were different in some ways. With them getting along I also got to talk to Moon more. It was nice.

With Sunny being back at work, I was once again back to working with him. We thought it would be fun to have DJ Music Man come to the daycare to help us throw a party. He was setting up before the kids all came to the PizzaPlex and decided that behind the new security desk would be a perfect place to start it. I was helping to make the place look pretty before the kids came and as I was Sunny came up behind me and lifted me up.

"Hiya (Y/N)! Whatcha doing?" He asked putting me down. I turned around and hugged him. "Well hanging up some party streamers, but now I'm kissing a cute boy!" I said making him slightly confused. I pulled him close and kissed him. Next thing we know there's a love song playing and without thought Sunny and I picked up some balls from the ball pit and threw them at music man. "Hey man, don't throw things at me! I'm just playing around!" He laughed. His voice almost sounded like he was making it wave when he talked, kind of like auto tune.

"Besides, the kids will be here soon, you two loooove birds~" He smiled and we just shook our heads and continued. "You know I'm super excited to play with the kids again!!!" Sunny told me smiling. "Maybe one day we can have a kid." I said, not fully thinking. He gasped. "I WOULD LOVE THAT!!! I COULD BE A DAD AND YOU CAN BE THE ZEZE!!!" He started to get excited. "Sunny, baby, sunray, if you want we can talk about it later, but we are still to young and plus kids are gonna be coming in soon, so please breath and calm down. I mean you got to save that energy for the kids too ya know!" I said kissing him one last time.

He smiled and took a few breaths. "Alright... Just so I'm not warn out before naptime..." He told me smiling. Soon kids started popping down the slid and in to the day care. All of them were in awe at the decorations and Sunny explained we were gonna have a party till it was nap time. The kids cheered and DJ Music Man started to bust out some tunes. He played all the hits, like row row row your boat, Mary had a little lamb, and so much more. The kids were having so much fun dancing and playing, and soon became tired. DJ Music Man quite playing as Sunny and I put the kids to bed.

Music Man soon left the daycare and it was just Sunny and me. "There were new faces in there!" He smiled. "So many new friends!" I leaned on him, happy to see him so happy. "Maybe after naptime we can do arts and crafts!" I looked up to him and smiled. "Want me to get the supplies out then?" I asked and he jumped up. "That would be amazing!!!" He smiled. So I got up and headed to the supplies. I took them out and set them neatly on the floor. "Now we can do arts and crafts." I smiled kissing his cheek. He got all flustered. "I know I'm gonna make a picture for a special some one because they are my shooting star."

Nap time was done and gone, so was arts and crafts, and it was time for kids to go home. We helped them find their parents and that's when I heard it. "Mommy helped me with the glitter glue and Daddy gave me a cookie!" A little girl said to her mom. "But sweetie... mommy and daddy have been at work all day." The mother bent down and explained to her daughter. The daughter was a regular at the daycare so we knew her well. "No mom! Mommy and Daddy number 2!" She said pointing at me. "There's Mommy number 2!" I looked over confused and the mother was now storming over.

"How dare you force my child to call you a mother to her!" She asked clearly angry. "What? We don't have the kids call us that, plus I wouldn't be a mother, especially at 17!" I explained. The daughter came over. "All of us call you guys our second parents! Especially when playing house! They are like the second parents anyone would ask for!" She smiled. "Did they know about this?" The mom asked her. "Not that we know of... " She smiled. "We wanted to surprise them!" I looked at her. "Awww Jessica that's so sweet of you all." I said before the question popped up in my head. "Wait who's Daddy?" I asked. "It's Sunny!" She smiled.

I started blushing hard. "Why would you say he's daddy?" I asked. "Because we saw you two kissing." She smiled. "Mom we're gonna be late to get ready for my classes tomorrow!" She said pulling her mom. "I'm so sorry about earlier, please forgive me." She said and I nodded. "It's alright, have a nice night!" I said watching her leave. Sunny and I waved off the last bit of kids and I told him what happened. "Well tomorrow we should talk to the kids and let them know you aren't a mommy but a zeze!" He said smiling. I just pushed him playfully. "Oh hush you-" I had turned around and saw a small child maybe a year old, sitting on the ground.

I looked over to Sunny. "Are their any more parents?" I asked. He looked out into the hall. "Nope... but we can wait and ask a guard!" He said and I nodded. "Yeah let's do that." I said going over to the kid. "Do you have a name?" I asked. They said nothing and I looked at them. They didn't have any form of ID besides a J on the inside of their onesie on the tag. "Their name starts with a J!" I said to Sunny. "They don't seem to talk." I said and he started to head up stairs to ask about the kid.

I stayed with the kid till Sunny came back and played with them. "They called the parents, but the phone number was to a random shop." Sunny said now worried. " Where could you're parents be?" He asked the kid. By now it was already closing time. "Come on, we can take them home for now and bring them back tomorrow... There's not much else we can do." I said picking the child up. "How about we call you Jasper for now?" I asked the kid and he giggled. "Alright then Jasper, lets go home, feed you, and we'll be back in the morning to find your parents." Sunny smiled making the kid laugh. I have no idea how to explain this to dad...

Also I apologize for calling you mommy in this if you are anything but a girl. I myself am not one, but I also know that kids will call one person mommy and another daddy, so I apologize.
