"Sooya, behind you!" She dodged just in time to only feel a graze on her arm. One that began bleeding.

"We can't keep going on like this! You're hurt. So is our General."

"I'll be fine, Lisa. General Jung will be fine. Their side is weakened. Right now is our only chance." Holding in their pain, the soldiers continued to fight along. Refusing to waste their efforts on the field.

The luck was on their side as expected but no one had the energy to celebrate their victory.

Passing the masses of bodies, they searched for lost friends and secret lovers who had given up their life for the people.

Jisoo and Lisa were lucky to have been able to stay by each other to keep the promise they had given the most important girl in both of their lives.

It was devastating to see the soldiers who had taken countless lives and hits to the body, cry over the same bodies that had taken just from the opposition.

They hurried to get their injured General, Jung Haein, to the oriental doctor. Simultaneously, a message was sent to the Emperor of Silla: their win for the kingdom.

After months out in battle, It was finally time to make their journey home to erase the memory of their time spent here.

----------

"We've won. As expected, but the amount of lives lost is large. And our General...we're not sure Haein will survive"

"What's done is done. They had taken an oath to protect the people and it's what they did." Though, the Emperor's voice was strained, holding back his cry for the dead. "Their souls will rest in honour."

"The soldiers will arrive by tomorrow. How shall they be greeted?"

"Inform the people! Make sure the whole kingdom is covered by lights, welcoming them to a warm sight. It's the least we could do to the people who protect us."

"Nothing should hinder their stay here. And let's hope it will be a long stay."

The Generals hoped for the same. The ones who brought them peace deserve the same back.

----------

"She'll embrace me first."

"In your dreams. She will come to me first." Jisoo wasn't so sure but she wasn't going to lose to Lisa.

Stepping into the village, they were greeted with longing eyes of the people, awaiting their arrival. The soldiers that were once orderly walking, scattered to find their loved ones.

Jisoo and Lisa also looked around for the one girl they loved so dearly. The smell of roses alerted Lisa's senses.

"She's here!"

"Of course she is. She lives here." They turned to see Seulgi beaming at them. "I missed you two idiots "

"Trust me, I did too. Fighting would've been easier with you by my side rather than just this jerk who made snarky comments every time I exhaled." Lisa scoffed.

"My foot is fully healed now, all thanks to Joohyun." She showed her foot which they also saw in shambles, an injury sustained from the previous battle. "I will be joining you for the next one.

"Stay away." Jisoo pushed the girl who leaned in for a hug. "We reek of blood and death."

"Which I'm very familiar with."

"Don't let us stain you of it for now." Seulgi nodded at Jisoo and watched her look around for the one and only girl in her mind. "I suppose you know where she is."
