"I fear I have seen the naked moon." Jisoo deeply sighed. "Something so forbidden should not feel so good."

"The moon wears garments?" Seulgi scratched her head in confusion. "Since when?"

"Stay confused." She stuck her tongue out at Seulgi before admiring the real moon. Her mind traveled back to Jennie and their position. It was going to wreck Jisoo for a while.

"Will you please rest? Some of us have important matters in the morning."

"Helping Joohyun carry back her load from the market is not an important matter."

"It so is."

"Shhh. I'm attempting to sleep here." Jisoo pretended to doze off using faux snores.

"If only people knew how childish you are, General Kim.

"Lee. General Lee." Jisoo corrected. "I do not have the privilege of identifying with that name anymore."

"But in our eyes, you are still the ever so innocent Kim Jisoo." The girl cheered.

"Innocent." Jisoo clicked her tongue. "I don't believe a killer should be described as innocent."

"Please forgive yourself, Jisoo." Seulgi's voice was raspy, seconds away from crying.

"It is incredibly hard to when I still see their eyes begging me for mercy."

"Let's just rest away from now. Maybe another day you will be able to see what we all know. You did nothing wrong."

Jisoo nodded, pushing her back. And just like that, her eventful day ended with her dreaming of that horrible night. One filled with regrets and despair.

"You are once again late." Jisoo had on her usual smirk as a response.

"I see that you missed me." Jennie scoffed and heaved a sigh at the sky.

"I see you are back with your false accusations."

"The truth hurts only the ones that refuse to accept."

"Enough with your words, I desire to travel to the market. Accompany me?" Jisoo kept her smile from emitting when a nervous Jennie acted as if she would refuse the demand.

The two have been bickering for a week now. Jisoo's advances received blushes from the princess as well as scolding.

"As your guard, I must listen to every demand, your Highness. Did you forget that?" Jennie frowned at the reminder. She quickly recovered once she realized what she was doing.

"I know, I was simply asking to be polite. I have never traveled out there on my own and as one that has been living there for years, I was hoping you would put away your arrogance and help me navigate the place."

"Of course. I'm always by your side." Jisoo casually smiled, already making Jennie panic. She held her hand out for the princess to take. "Let's go?"

Nodding, Jennie shyly slid her hand into Jisoo's palm and was slowly led out to the gates that kept her a prisoner until now. The guards backed away when they saw Jisoo in front of her.

It was as if she was the fairy that granted her long awaited wish.

Jennie took in a deep exhale to breathe in the free air. It was quite different from the one that had suffocated her for all these years.

"Why the sudden stalling?" Jisoo excitedly asked. "Come on, princess." The guards flinched at her casualty until they saw Jennie smiling widely.

Jisoo pulled her along, weaving through the crowd that were unaware the crown princess was present with them.
