"Your eyes are bloodshot red." Taehyung and Seulgi laughed at Jisoo's tired state. With a sense of duty, she ended up staying up the whole night.

"I need some rest. How far are we from Baekje?"

"A day or half." Scrunching her eyes shut to fight away the sleep in her eyes, Jisoo sauntered over to her horse, lazily climbing on.

The rest of the soldiers followed her actions, waiting ready for the Emperor to join them. As the old man got onto his own ride, they began their journey again.

The sun shone brightly right at Jisoo, enough to give her restless, cold body some warmth. It was a pain to blink away her sleep and Taehyung constantly spoke to keep her away, which she was thankful for.

"I believe we have arrived at Baekje territory, your Majesty." The well-informed General told the Emperor.

"I see." He stopped his horse, ready to camo at the spot for the night.

"Wait, your, Majesty! I don't believe it's safe to stop here. One of our soldiers saw a figure last night, possibly a Baekje man. It's better we make our way directly to the kingdom."

"We will only rest here momentarily, General Kim. I'm feeling a bit queasy from all the riding. We will be safe." Unable to refute the Emperor, the Generals and soldiers waited for him to prepare to leave once again.

Seulgi and Jisoo were pacing around with Taehyung when an unusual sound of rustling leaves interrupted them. There was no strong wind in the area.

"Stay alert!" Jisoo yelled as she and the others jogged back to the area they were resting at.

"Is there an issue?" The Emperor asked as he stood up.

"We heard some unusual sounds. Something tells me it wasn't caused by the wind."

"You are simply young and paranoid, General Lee. Your lack of experience in such matters must be keeping you irrationally anxious." He reprimanded them once again.

"Your Majesty, please believe us. This isn't bluffing." Taehyung pleaded, looking around in suspicion. "We should leave right now."

"General Kim, I'm the Emperor not you. We all will be safe." As he finished his words, a familiar twang was heard by Jisoo, followed by a quiet hiss and rustling of leaves.

"Watch out!" Jisoo lunged, pushing the Emperor out of place. An arrow had pushed right into her upper left arm. "Protect the Emperor!" The raven ordered as more arrows shot at her, a few landing right into her body. She backed herself into a tree to grab some balance.

The small army fought to break off the nonstop attack of arrows. Although a few fell to their knees as their life was ending. "Do we not have anything other than these swords?" The Emperor asked the rest of the soldiers that were injured but still fighting.

"No, your Majesty. We hadn't expected such deceitful tactics to be used upon us." Taehyung gritted his teeth as he slashed another arrow with his weapon. "Where the hell are they coming from?!" Jisoo was writhing in pain as more arrived towards them.

After taking a while to observe their origin, she decided to put her plan into work. With a rush of adrenaline, she swung out her sword and let it slide down the arrow that was lodged into her arm, leaving only a small wooden piece in view.

Sneaking away, the young General crawled towards the direction the arrows were arriving from. A ghost of a smirk made its way up to her face once she saw a soldier that was dispensing them without care.

Quietly, Jisoo snuck up on him and with a slash of her sword, his blood was dripping on the end of it. Jisoo let his body fall beside her as she grabbed his bow and arrow.
