~The alarm rang throughout the room. A hand jutted out from the messy pile of blankets on the bed, smacking the alarm clock to silence it. The arm stayed there for a moment, before slowly a teenager climbed out from the bed.
Hiro yawned, rubbing his eyes. That dream...no, it was better to call it a nightmare. That was the third day in a row he's gotten it. It started ever since his family moved to the small city of Kiken. And now, he was going to be going to their school, Uddoforu Academy.
Hiro sighed, thinking about that nightmare. It was tough to explain, tough to understand...yet it frightened him every time. Especially since he felt like he couldn't do anything...
He was in a dark fog. Every time he would search for some sort of light, but it seemed the darkness extended in every direction. And after a while of wandering, he'd start to hear it.
The sound of metallic banging, followed by horrific screams of pain. Then the sickening sound of laughter would echo through his ears, seemingly getting closer.
Whoever the laughter came from, they never did reach him. He couldn't help but be thankful for that, even if he knew it was just a harmless nightmare.
Hiro staggered over to his bathroom, getting ready for the day. He grabbed his glasses, placing them onto his face so he could see clearer. Today was his first day at Uddoforu Academy, and he wasn't sure how to feel.
Though his parents had planned the move perfectly. He didn't have to transfer into a class, luckily since this was the first day of school for everyone. Unfortunately, he was going to be a Second Year so the friend groups had already been decided.
Getting dressed into the school uniform, he walked down the stairs to the kitchen. At the table his father sat, eating breakfast while his mother was cooking his own.
"Morning!" She smiled.
"Morning." Hiro yawned.
He sat down at the table, where his mother dropped his plate of food in front of him. He mumbled a quick thanks, before starting to eat the breakfast.
"Hey, are you sure you will be okay?" Hiro's Mom suddenly asked. "You sure I don't need to call a babysitter?"
"I'll be fine, Mom." Hiro sighed. "You two enjoy your trip."
"Thanks, honey." His Mom smiled. "I'm sorry we can't take you with us."
"It's fine." Hiro replied. "It's a gift from Dad's work for your honeymoon. Enjoy it."
"Alright then." His Mom kissed him on the forehead. "We're going to head out then. The fridge is stocked up for you. We'll see you in a week, okay?"
"Alright." Hiro replied.
His Mom and Dad waved him goodbye, grabbing their luggage and exiting the house. Hiro couldn't help but sigh at his misfortune. Right as they move his parents celebrate their anniversary with a trip.
Now he's going to a new school in a new town with no one he knows. To say he wasn't excited was an understatement.
He finished his breakfast, placing the empty bowl in the sink. Washing his hands, he grabbed his bag and slung it over his shoulder. Opening the door to his house, he closed it behind him and made sure to lock it before stashing the keys in his bag.
