That same dream. Hiro woke up with a start. Every night the dream got progressively worse, and he couldn't stand it. He got up, rubbing his temples.
Whatever it was that was looking for him in those nightmares...he hoped it'd never find him. For some reason, he was paralyzed with fear whenever that laughter echoed through the mist.
He looked over to the alarm clock. 6:00...

~Hiro walked through the halls, heading towards his first class. As he entered through the class, he noticed that for once Sora was here before him. However, his face was placed against the desk, using his arms as a cushion.
'I guess he's asleep.' Hiro noted. 'Long night, maybe. Probably from getting distracted and looking at dog pictures all night.'
Hiro sat down into his seat, taking a stretch. This week was almost done. Today was the last day, and the next two days would be the weekend.
Honestly, he couldn't wait. Especially since his parents would be coming back on the second day off. He was a little worried about telling them he was dating though, so he might hold off for a little longer.
After all, it did happen very quick. He still had trouble believing it himself.
As class started, Sora finally lifted his head off of the desk. His eyes seemed slightly bloodshot, making Hiro wonder once more what could have kept him awake all night.
Once they had gotten through their first half of classes, the bell for lunch finally rang. As Hiro looked over to Sora, his friend abruptly stood up.
"I-I'm going to sit with the baseball guys." He nervously stated. "I-is that all right?"
"Of course." Hiro raised a single eyebrow. There was no need to be so nervous. It wasn't like he was Sora's boss or anything. Sora could do whatever he wanted.
"T-thanks." Sora awkwardly smiled, before rushing out of the classroom.
'Baseball season is coming up soon...' Hiro thought to himself. 'Starting next month. He's probably getting ready.'
Hiro stood up, walking to the cafeteria by his lonesome this time. Akari hadn't made him a bento, as they decided that eating together often would be too dangerous.
It was no doubt that people would become suspicious if Akari missed lunch with her friends two days in a row, or even two days near each other.
Unfortunately, eating with his girlfriend would be a rare occasion. Which sucked, because Akari's food was quite good.
Not as good as Konami's, but Hiro would never tell her that. There was no need to compare the two anyways. Just having a bento handmade for him made it so much more special than whatever masterpiece Konami could cook up.
As Hiro walked to the cafeteria, he felt a strange loneliness settle into his heart. It was funny, considering he would have just been fine with his one online friend.
Two weeks ago, being alone like this wouldn't have bothered him. In fact, he might have welcomed it with how...unique...many of this school's characters were.
I mean, they were obsessed with a bunch of Highschool girls, thus it immediately made them weird in Hiro's eyes. Though some were good despite this idolization, like Sora.
Hiro let out a small sigh for himself. To think he'd be getting lonely already. It had only been a week, yet Kiken City was already changing him.
A small smile appeared on his face, the faintest of lines that no passing glance could ever notice.
