28 - The Story

Saki sat down on the couch as Hiro started to explain his side of the story. "...Sora and I quickly because friends. Despite barely knowing each other, I knew I could count on him."

Hiro looked out of the window, nostalgia washing over him. "He even saved my life."

"What?" Saki asked, confused.

~ Hiro and Mei's Apartment ~

"I'll explain." Hiro promised. "Mei, can you start packing everything up?"

"Already on it." Mei stated.

"Thank you." Hiro replied, before moving his attention back to Saki. "High school was going great. I had made a good friend, and even got my first girlfriend, Akari Sumiko."

"Akari..." Mei whispered. "I hate that bitch."

"So what happened?" Saki questioned. "How does this lead to traumatizing my brother? Faking your death?"

"I never meant to traumatize your brother. I didn't even know." Hiro sadly stated. "I cut off all ties when I came here to America. But it all started when Yanemi came into the picture."

"You mentioned her before." Saki pointed out. "How is she involved?"

"I'm getting to that." Hiro sighed. "And what happened was that Yanemi and I started talking a little. And somehow that led to her drugging me and violating me."

"Oh..." Saki gasped, taken off guard by the sudden turn of events. "I'm so sorry."

"It's fine. I'm over it." Hiro stated. Saki could tell it was a lie. His hand shook as he talked about her. "I still have no idea why it happened. But that event led to the next one. I started to get suspicious of my girlfriend."

"...what do you mean?" Saki asked.

"A man named Daisuke Yamamoto was murdered." Hiro stated. "The day after I had a fight with him at the mall. The murder was brutal. Whoever did it had a motive."

"Daisuke was popular. He didn't have enemies There were only two people that could've had that motive." Hiro explained. "The two people who were there and attached to me; Yanemi and Akari."

"I'm sorry, but..." Saki started to say. "This seems like a stretch."

"Yanemi was with me when Daisuke was murdered. That's when she had violated me because of her sick love." Hiro spat out. "She's a bonafide real-life yandere."

"Yandere?" Saki was confused.

"As for Akari, not only was she the only other with the motive, but she also had many other multiple red flags. She was at the mall and met me when there was no way of her knowing I was there." Hiro continued. "Actually, she always seemed to know where I was."

"And then I found the cameras." Hiro added. "Which only Akari or Yanemi could have placed. Either way not good. Small cameras in every room. Before that, one day, I woke up to window being open. I figured I forgot to close it. I think this is when Akari placed those cameras."

"...I get it." Saki stated. "But you have no concrete evidence for such a huge claim."

"I don't." Hiro replied. "But there's too many coincidences. Especially when you consider that after this I was then violated by Akari too. Someone I trusted."

"Ah..." Saki let out a small sound.

"Do you know what a Yandere is?" Hiro asked, leaning down to look at Saki.
