10 - The Gaming Gyaru

Hiro woke up with a gasp. Sweat rolled down his body, and he just felt hot under his covers. Pushing them off, he sat in his pajamas, feeling the pajamas sticking to his skin from the sweat.

Again, he had that dream. And again, it was worse. His life was great right now, so why did he have to be plagued with these strange nightmares?

A cool breeze floated over his skin, cooling him down. Hiro sighed in relief, before he suddenly froze cold.

A breeze?

He looked over to his window to see it cracked open. Had he forgotten to completely close it last night? He got off of the bed, shutting it completely closed.

How strange.

As Hiro walked into the school, he couldn't help but wonder what all of the buzz was. Everybody was chattering, much louder than usual. What was going on so early in the morning?

Entering his classroom, the chatter here was just as loud as everywhere else. Sora was talking to another boy, contributing to the loudness which was this morning.

"So...what's going on?" Hiro asked, sitting down in his seat. "What's with everybody?"

"You won't believe this." Stated the other boy. He had brown hair and was overall pretty plain appearance wise. If Hiro remembered right, his name was Aki Yako. "The perfect couple broke up!"

"The...perfect couple?" Hiro asked.

"Giyo and Yamamoto." Sora muttered, staring into the distance like he was having a ptsd flashback.

"...huh." Hiro shrugged. "That's it?"

"That's it?! That's it?!" Exclaimed Aki. "It's the most popular Idol and boy in this school! They were perfect, and we're going great for a year before Giyo mentioned they broke up this morning! It's crazy!"

"I don't really get it." Hiro replied. "Why should I care about another person's love life."

"It makes life interesting." Aki stated.

"I guess so." Hiro replied. 'For some. But I'm not too interested, not when I have a girlfriend.' He inwardly commented.

Well, it didn't surprise Hiro too much. While he didn't worship the Idols, almost everybody else did. It makes sense that it created such a huge buzz.

Yeah, he definitely couldn't let others know about his relationship with Akari.

"Hey, Sora, you alright?" Hiro asked, waving his hand in front of Sora's face.

"Oh?! Yeah, I'm fine!" He quickly replied. "I'm just shocked. I thought that her and Captain looked so good together, so..."

"I get it. You want your Captain to be happy, right?" Hiro stated.

"Yeah." Sora nodded. "I feel kind of bad for him. I'll have to check to see if he's alright later. He was heads over heels for her."

"Giyo said it was a mutual feeling, so I wonder why..." Aki added. "Because I was also sure that Yamamoto was smitten."

Hiro just shrugged in response. He didn't care enough to think too deeply about it. His phone lightly buzzed, taking his attention away from the new development.
