Ashaangi SS Entwined

Part IV | B |

It was an hour later when Sivaangi who finally composed herself left the room. She saw Ashwin working on his laptop in the living room. He lifted his head to give her a glance before fixing his eyes on his laptop making her roll her eyes at him before she walked inside the kitchen.

For someone who grew up pampered and in luxury, Sivaangi had no clue about cooking save for the food vlogs and food recipes she watches on You Tube. She was once overwhelmed with the urge to cook mushroom pasta that she stepped into the kitchen with a determination to cook only to burn the vessels.

Ever since Sivaangi refrained herself from cooking. But she was bored and there wasn't any food on the kitchen island. Her eyes fell on an air tight container that had penne pasta. So, she decided to do simple red sauce pasta.

But the problem was Sivaangi remember only half the recipe. She had no clue about the boiling time of pasta or how much seasoning to add or how many ingredients needed in total and to think that she had to cut down garlic and onion made her dizzy.

Sivaangi was almost at the brink of giving up the idea but now she craves for red sauce pasta. It has been long since she ate good food and in Sivaangi's dictionary good food means junk food and she badly want to eat red sauce pasta now.

So, bracing herself, Sivaangi made a face and took the pasta container. She searched the kitchen cabinet and took out mixed herbs, oregano, salt and pepper. She opened the fridge and made distaste faces on seeing beer tins on the side rack.

As she was searching for ketchup and sauces, Sivaangi's eyes fell on garlic and onion powder. Thanking her stars, she quickly grabbed it along with tomatoes and placed it on the kitchen island, a satisfied smile danced on her face as she saw all the ingredients lined up.

"Ipo recipe ku yenna panrathu?" Sivaangi wondered aloud, "Pesama Ashwin kitayeh ketruvom"

Sivaangi made up her mind and walked into the living room. She went behind the couch to speak to Ashwin.

"Ashwineyy, naan yethuvum ongala disturb panlayeh?" Sivaangi said placing her hand on Ashwin's shoulder making him jerk and close his laptop before looking up at her.
