"Ophelia!" My mom vociferated. "Do not make me go up these stairs!"
I groaned and dragged myself out of bed and down the stairs.
"Ophelia!" Solace yelled, stuffing a pancake into her mouth."You better hurry up! They're almost gone!"
I looked at her sharply and smiled, snatching three pancakes.
Solace looked impressed but shrugged it off.
"So what does mom have planned today?"

"She's bringing us up to the mall to get new clothes." Solace said quickly, still stuffing parts of pancakes into her mouth.

I didn't exactly hate malls, I just hated the type of people who hang out in them.

I sighed and hurried back up to my room to get dressed. I picked out a light Gray T-shirt and pair of jeans. Once I made it back downstairs I slipped on a pair of black sneakers and pushed aside my dirty clothes into the laundry pile.
A searing sharp pinch shot down my spine. I gasped in pain and clenched onto the washer. After a few seconds, the pain went away. I stood up, still trying to gather exactly where I was. Once I made it out of the house, I tried my best to play off that I was okay. My legs were shaking, my heart was racing.
You're okay Ophelia, I told myself
My mom looked out of the car window and sighed with relief. I hopped into the backseat and pulled over my buckle.
No matter where I looked, everything and everyone looked much brighter.
"Mom," Solace said breaking the silence. "Can we get pizza afterwards?"
My mom chuckled. "We'll see."

After a while we finally pulled into a parking lot that was surrounded by stores. I sighed and followed behind my mom and solace.
I winced at the sharp pain in my head and continued walking. We walked into a shoe store that was filled with kids, accompanied by their parents. The cashier had short black hair and freckles, she wore a long red flowery dress and pink earrings.
"Welcome how May I help you today." She smiled.

"We're new in this town, and were wondering where the girl section is." My mom asked.
"Right down this row, and take a left."

My mom smiled and continued walking. Solace begin skipping right besides her, with a smile. We walked between coat racks filled with clothes, and missing pairs of shoes.
I sighed and begin searching for a decent outfit.

I wasn't the best with anything fashionable, styling isn't my thing.

After a while I grabbed a few sets of clothes and walked into the changing room. Jeez this was boring..
I lowered my pile, as I heard a group of voices walk by the room.
"You know I didn't mean to get that girl hit. My aim is the greatest skill I have."

"Sure it is." Another voice laughed. "I don't go to school for a day and you manage to knock a girl unconscious and get another three days of detention."

"You would've gotten three days too if your mom wasn't overprotective and unstable."

"Guys just shut up."

The voices slowly drifted off and everything was silent once again. I picked up the pile and walked back out. The room wasn't big either, quite small for a changing room.

The voices slowly started making their way back. I quickly hid against the door to the changing room.
"I'm going to grab something to eat." Said another voice followed with fading footsteps.

I quickly turned around the corner immediately fell to the ground.

My eyes met with a pair of small black leather boots. Serena towered over me, holding in a laugh.
"Why whenever I see you you're on the ground?"

"I guess it's just my luck." I chuckled as Serena pulled me back onto my feet.

"What brings you here?"
