Opheila's Pov-

My eyes peaked open as they were immediately shut. The morning sun shined down on me from the window leaving behind a trail of warmth and comfort.
Finally it was sunny again. I leaned back and fell back against my pillow exhausted.

I looked over next to me to find Serena laying down wearing a purple tank top and black pajama pants wrapped up in a fuzzy blanket.

Ever since what she told me yesterday, I  couldn't help but feel sorry and wanted to help.. I just didn't know how I could. It got worse especially when I looked at her.
She was so nice and thoughtful, I-... I couldn't imagine or wish anything bad upon her.

"Good morning Ophelia." She mumbled rubbing her eyes.

"Morning Serena." I smiled and stepped out of bed.

    "God it's morning already.."

I smiled once again and started going through my dresser trying to find an outfit for the day.

"It seems like that cake actually was really good. Made me sleep like a baby." She laughed, pulling herself out of bed followed by a long stretch. "What are you doing?"

"Trying to find something nice to wear and—"

Suddenly the closet door opened and Serena began going through it. "My senses are telling me you'll end up picking this one."

She held up an off the shoulder gray long sleeve and a pair of black bell bottoms.

"How did you know that was— Oh I know a perfect pair of shoes that would go with that!"

I hurried over to my shoe rack and pulled out a pair of black small heeled boots.

"You have great style." Serena smiled and opened up the door. "Do you by any chance have a change of clothes I could borrow? I forgot to head back to my house last night."

    "Of course!"

I quickly passed her a set of clothes as she closed the door behind her.

After a few minutes we both met back up downstairs to find my mom cooking breakfast.

"Good morning Ophelia and Serena!" She smiled proudly. "Eggs, Bacon and Pancakes are on the table! Get yourself a plate and enjoy!"

I quickly turned to the food and my face instantly beamed with happiness. I loved whenever my mom made breakfast, especially her specialty pancakes.

"So what was up with those three boys?"

"They're close friends of mine." Serena replied, taking a bite of bacon and a sip from a tall glass of apple juice. "Quite strange really but nice people."

    "They seem quite respectful too."

I could feel my mom's smile even when I'm not looking at her. Serena's grin grew as she continued eating. The door creaked open as my father stepped inside carrying a completely soaked hiking-like backpack with clothes slowly making their way out of the pockets.

My mom turned to the door with a worried expression and teary eyes. She always thought of  herself more emotional than the rest of us but I always see it as her way of caring.

"Hunny you look awful!" She cried, rushing over to him.

''I'm never working the nightshift again." He grumbled tossing his bag to the ground along with his shoes.

"Where did they have you working?"

"Some place in the middle of nowhere in the woods, with only a flashlight and a few weapons. All they said was to keep an eye out for any suspicious behavior but nothing happened."
