My hips swayed to the Chris Brown music playing from my pandora, as I grabbed the homemade chocolate chip cookies out the oven.

While Jacob and I were on a break, he took that time to settle himself out, and today he started a new job at a new company on the east side of LA. To congratulate him, I decided to make his favorite dessert, that he could eat as soon as he got back.

Since those were done, I decided to tidy up my apartment. I started to sweep around, while singing all the words to Poppin', since I had nothing better to do.

Suddenly, I felt a pair of hands grab my waist, causing me to jump.

"Damn bae, I was just trying to say hello." Jacob chuckled.

I playfully hit his chest. "I didn't even hear you come in. You can't just scare me like that."

"Aww, you was scared." He said in a baby voice causing me to giggle. "Daddy's here now, so you're safe. " He pecked my lips, walking away to grab a cookie .

"You not my dad!" I yelled in a high voice after him.

He turned and stared at me with a 'girl you need to chill' look as I cracked up.

"You too goofy, girl." He said, before laughing with me.

"So, how was your first day?" I asked, taking a seat on his lap.

"It was alright. " He shrugged, snaking his hands around my waist. "I just missed you all day, though. "

I blushed, laying my head on his shoulder to hide my smile.

He lifted my chin up with his fingers causing me to look at him, before bringing his lips to meet mine. I kissed him back, slightly smiling before he pulled away.

"Don't hide your face from me like that. " He said seriously. "I like to see you smile, baby."

"You're so corny. " I giggled.

"You smell so good, bae." He spoke quietly kissing my neck.

"I knew there was a catch to this. " I said.

He laughed. "Nah, Kay. It's just that I ain't seen you like this in a while, baby. I missed you. Every part of you." His hands lifted up my shirt, gripping my stomach under it.

I chuckled at him being over dramatic. "Well, you and your left hand better become best friends, because we're not having sex." I kissed his cheek, before getting off of his lap.

"What you mean?" He pouted.

"Exactly what I said. Jacob the last time we tried to be together, the only thing that kept us hanging by a thread was sex. I'm just saying that we should depend less on that, and more on learning about each other y'know?"

He sighed getting up from the couch. "Whatever you want, baby. "

I walked over to where he was and pecked his lips.

"Thank you. " I smiled at him. "Now I'm gonna go take a shower. " I said, starting to walk up the stairs.

"Can I join you?" He called out from the living room.

"Jacob."

"It was worth a try."

I laughed going into the bathroom. What am I going to do with him?

I took a sip of my drink, admiring Jacob as he smiled, sitting across from me.

We decided to go out and get some food, since I did say before we needed to learn more about each other. Jacob thinks the best way is to just sit down and talk.

"You know, ever since we got back together, you still ain't given me a real kiss."

"What do you mean?"

"You know what I mean. The ones that be on tv making the slurping sounds and all that. Them nasty ones. " He smirked.

"Well if I give your creep ass a "real kiss" you're gonna try and fuck me. "

He shrugged. "I still don't really see the problem with that, baby girl. "

"Baby steps. " I said quietly.

"Yes, baby steps. " he repeated, taking my hand in his, interlocking our fingers across the table.

"Jacob, why do you love me?" I asked, and his eyebrows furrowed.

"What?"

"You said you loved me on the day we got back together. Why?"

"Well, baby I love your spirit. You just spread positive vibes, y'know. It's intoxicating. Like, when you smile, you start glowing and shit, a nigga can't handle it." I laughed. "But, forreal mama," he continued. "I love everything about you, your beauty, your humor, your everything. You just perfect babe. "

I blushed. "Far from it. " I laughed. "But thank you."

"Nah, thank you baby. Them weeks I was apart from you, my mind was going crazy. I honestly didn't think you would take me back on that street corner, but I was happy you did. So believe me baby, when I say that I love you, just know that I mean it."
