"Babe, I'm leaving. " I spoke to Jacob who was halfway asleep.

"Alright, I'll see you when you get back. " He leaned up and pecked my lips.

"Okay." I grabbed my coat.

"I love you, baby." He called out as soon as I got to the door, causing me to stop and smile.

"Love you too, Jake. "

I walked out of his apartment and into my car, driving straight to Maria's.

I pulled up to the diner and got out, walking into the back. I took my coat off and put in on the little hanger each of us got, and wrapped my apron around my waist.

"Kayla!" I heard Xavier call my name, so I turned around.

" 'Sup bitch. " I said as he pulled me into a hug.

He mushed me head away from him. "Yo rude ass always wanna talk. " He slit his eyes at me.

I just laughed and put the rest of my stuff in my little 'locker'.

"But aye, you talk to Suhnia yet?"

I sighed, shaking my head. I told Xavier about my little 'falling out' with Suhnia the day after it happened. All his advice was the same every time he mentioned her name.

"You need to talk to her, Kay. "

"I tried!" I spoke rolling my eyes. "She's not returning any of my calls. "

"Well, I'm supposed to be going over to chill at her place after our shift ends, just come. "

I shook my head. "Nah. "

He gave me a look. "Makayla. "

"What Zay?She doesn't want to see me. "

"Just come. "

"I don't want to. "

"If I have to ask you one more time I swear to Go-"

"Ok, ok fine. " I mumbled, giving in. "You were gonna make me go anyway. "

"Ya damn right. Now go out there and do your job, your shift started 15 minutes ago. "

"Fineee," I said, sluggishly walking out to my first table.

"Welcome to Maria's, how may I help you?"

"When we get in there don't be acting all mad and shit Makayla. " Zay said, parking his car in front of Nia's house.

"When do I ever act like that?"

He looked at me as if I was crazy. "All the time!"

I scoffed causing him to laugh. "Just act like the opposite of yourself, and this will all go well. Be nice. " He spoke before getting out the car.

"Be nice." I mocked in his voice.

"I heard that!" He called out as he reached the door, and I was right behind him.

Xavier rang the doorbell and a couple seconds later Suhnia appeared.

"Oh, hey Zay! Come i-, oh. " She said after looking at me, and her face fell. "I see you brought guests. "

"Girl, don't act like you do-"

"Aye, aye, aye!" He said loudly interrupting me and giving me a mean look. "Now what did I say in the car? Be ni-"

"Yea, yea be nice. I got it. " I rolled my eyes.

"Good. Now can we come in?"

Nia took a deep breath before opening the door up wider so we could get in. I walked in and sat on the couch and Zay immediately walked into the kitchen to get a piece of pizza. Nia sat down across from me, creating an awkward silence as we waited for Xavier to come back.

"Alright so," Zay stopped to take a bit of the pepperoni pizza before continuing. "Y'all gotta make up. "

"I don't got nothing to say to that girl. " Nia said smartly.

I rolled my eyes. "Likewise."

"Look, you two betta' get to talking before that whole box of pizza in there's gone. You know I only come in here for the food. "

I shrugged my shoulders and leaned back in the chair. I already apologized to this girl and apparently it wasn't enough. I don't have time to beg people to be in my life.

It was silent for another moment until Suhnia finally spoke up.

"I just don't appreciate the fact that you kept the fact that you had a boyfriend from me, and then got mad at me because I had sex with him. "

"Hold up. Like I told you before, it was very sudden. By the time I would've even got to tell you, we broke up. And, I wasn't mad that you fucked Jacob, I was mad at Jacob. You didn't even know, so how could I have been upset with you?" I told her, already getting annoyed with this conversation. She just sat there with a stupid look on her face.

"So I apologize for not telling you," I continued. "but, I don't know what else to say. "

"Alright, so maybe I overreacted, so I'm sorry for ignoring your calls. "

"Okay!" Xavier clapped his hands, rubbing them together like Birdman. "Now can you guys hug, and this be over?"

"Eh, what the hell." I shrugged getting up to met Nia for a hug.

"I'm sorry." We both said simultaneously, causing us to laugh.

Jacob

(Yes, I'm adding POV's to this basic story)

I sat up, listening to my phone ring again from the one person I didn't want to talk to.

I picked up the phone, about to just hang it up, but remembered Makayla say she was going to turn hell if I don't handle this girl. So, I sighed and answered it.

What do you want, Jennifer?

Jacob, we have to talk about this!

We don't gotta talk about shit! I already told you that baby you having ain't mine. So chill out calling my phone, before my girl beat your ass.

Jacob, please. You and I both kno-

I'on know shit! What I do know is that you the most known hoe in this damn city. Find one of them niggas to trap with your baby.

You were the only one I was with, Jay. The baby is yours.

Don't call my phone no more. I told her before hanging up.

I sighed and put my head in my hands, thinking back to when I slept with Jennifer. It was a stupid night, and I was drunk out of my mind, causing me to forget to wear a condom. I know that there is a chance the baby growing in her stomach is mine, but I just hope it's not.

I just know Makayla will be pissed, and I can't lose her again.
