[Continuation Of Joshua's POV]As I was walking down the streets on my way home, I couldn't stop thinking about her. Even though we just went on our separate ways just now, the moment we did, she became the only one I could think of.
Most of the words she said sounded like she was going off somewhere far and long, she became extra grateful, saying them one by one as if tomorrow is not going to happen, yet she said she didn't.
I lied on my back inside my bedroom, blankly gazing at the ceiling, and until then, I was thinking of the same person. She has gotten in my mind quite often these days, I feel like I think of her on a daily basis way more than I should and do.
I was getting tensed for some reason, having this strong urge to somewhat check on her or seeing her for the last time today. I like her, but I don't know in what level. My actions right now, today, the past days, would it determine that I like her way more than I think I do?
I just feel like wanting to reach for her, to make sure that she's alright and well, I don't know whatever got into me, I don't have any idea what sorcery was spelled into me, but before I knew it, I found myself infront of her house, looking up at her window where the light was shut off.
I pushed the button of their doorbell once, and in no time, I heard her younger sister's voice. "Who is it?", Lily asked, her voice seemed to be shaking.
"Hey, Lily, It's me, Joshua.", I replied, and slowly, the door swung open, with Lily holding it.
"Hiah.. she was brought to the hospital by Mom and Dad.", she was scared, she looked really frightened telling what she saw. "When I got inside her room, she was lying on the floor, I tried to wake her up but she didn't.. she couldn't."
I crouched infront of her to level her height and held both of her arms. "Are you the only one left here?"
She nodded, and I could literally feel her shivers through my hand. "Yes, Dad said I'll just wait for them to come back."
"Is it okay if you go to our house, both of my parents are there, they'll watch over you tonight.", She agreed with a nod. "My Mom will watch over you tonight, while I will go to the hospital and check on your older sister. I'll tell your Mom and Dad that you're at our place, okay?"
"Okay.."
I tried to seem like I wasn't panicking for Lily not to be terrified even more, I probably appeared like I was chill infront of her, but to be honest, I was close to loosing my sanity. My main reason for walking all the way back to their house was to see her again, but instead, I was welcomed with the information that she collapsed, that she was brought to the hospital, and her younger sister is alone this dark at night.
Well, if someone didn't came, Lily might've been devoured by so much anxiousness most especially that she's alone and the lights couldn't seem to help.
When I got to see Hiah's parents at the hospital, they were quite surprised that I was there, questioning with their faces how I knew that Hiah was there, but nevertheless, they were relieved that they didn't have to worry about Lily being alone and with the doctor's words that Hiah was already fine.
Hearing from the doctor that she was suffering from mental collapse due to the strain of shock and too much nervousness, I have come to think that perhaps it was related to her trauma that lasted for years. She broke down plenty of times because of it, but it was the first time she fell down on the floor unconscious.
I went inside her hospital room, the silence was deafening with her lying on the white sheeted bed; the blanket reached her neck, she was sleeping peacefully, yet her face looked tired, she must be exhausted for her to even come to the point of loosing consciousness.
