Time skip
Y/n's pov

We're at the party and me and pansy ate talking next to the bar with Harry, Ron and Hermione.

Just then someone calls us all to sit down in a circle to play spin the bottle. Pansy grabs my hand and drags me over. I laugh and when we get there I kiss her on her cheek and we sit down.

"Who's starting first" lila shouts

No one says anything so lila rolls her eyes

"Fine I'll go first"

She reaches over to spin the bottle. She spins it and it lands on.....

..Pansy..

I look at pansy and see her smirk and so does lila. In the background high enough comes on and it's slowed. Pansy starts to crawl over to lila and sits on her lap. They both lean in and start to make out. I look everywhere but there. I see hermione look at me sadly and I try to smile at her but I can't she points her head at the door and I nod. I get up quietly and walk to the door. Hermione comes out and opens her arms. I go over and hug her crying into her shoulder

"T-the w-worst thing is s-she's not e-even drunk" i cry

"I know I know. Come on let's go to your dorm"

"Can w-we go to D-dumbledore to see i-if I can s-switch to another d-dorm"

Hermione nods and we go to Dumbledore's office.

Hermiones pov

We walk to Dumbledore's office and I knock.

"Enter" he calls

"Arh miss granger and miss y/l/n what do I owe the pleasure" he starts

I look at y/n and see she doesn't want to talk

"Well y/n here would like to see if she can switch dorms" I answer

He nods in acknowledgement

"Okay there is a spare dorm on its own in the slytherin dorms and it will only be you in it as well if that's okay"

Y/n nods and I smile at him

"Thanks professor" I smile

He nods and me and y/n go to her old dorm and get bits and pieces she needs.

"When do you think the party will end" y/n asks

"Maybe around five in the morning"

Y/n nods and I sadly smile at her while grabbing some of her clothes to bring to her new dorm. I turn around and see y/n sitting on the bed.

"I'll miss not having pansy by my side every day but that's her fault. I need to man up. She knows what she's done so it's up to her to put things right between us but maybe not as lovers maybe more like friends." She speaks

She looks at me and smiles sadly with a tear in her eye

"If that's what you think you want I'll be there for you and so will my friends. Now come and help me with your stuff" I reply

She laughs and gets up to pick up her things

After a while we've settled y/n into her new dorm which is on the other side of the slytherin common room. Y/n's in comfier clothes and I went to get changed now I'm back and I'm sitting on the spinning chair in her dorm.

We've talked about anything and everything just to get pansy off her mind and its worked. It feels like we've got closer and we're going to be good friends.

Y/n's pov

Me and hermione talked and we told each other everything about ourselves. I feel like we could become friends.

"I'm tired so I think I'm gonna go to sleep" I smile

"You know where I'll be if you need me in the morning. Just knock on the portrait and ask for me. You can come in whenever cause I say so even it you don't have a reason but want to hang out okay I'll stop rambling " she replies

I laugh and nod while she laughs while leaving my dorm.

Time skip

I wake up and get changed into comfy clothes. I walk to the gryffindor tower and knock on the portrait. A ginger girl opens it and smiles at me. I think her names ginny

"Hey is hermione here" I ask

"Yeah she is come with me and I'll take you to our dorm" she smiles

I follow her and she knocks on the dorm door. Hermione opens it and sees us.

"Hey y/n how are you" she questions

"I'm fine I just didn't want to wait for you in the great hall so I came here" i answer

She smiles

"Oh right ginny this is y/n the one that i was talking about last night. Y/n this is ginny one of my friends." Hermione says

"Nice to meet you ginny I can tell we're gonna be good friends"

"Me too"

I put my hand out for her to shake but she hugs me instead to which I laugh at.

A/n hey guys I'm changing this story up a bit. I've done a twist where in the end pansy and y/n don't end up together so i need some ideas who y/n will end up with (can't be pansy, cedric or blaise) thanksssss
