Sero groaned as he began to reach consciousness. A sliver of light was aimed perfectly at his eye. Sinking deeper into his hammock he covered his face with his blanket. He tried desperately to go back to sleep, he felt like there was something he had to wake up for, but he couldn't put a finger on it. Deciding it was an issue for future him, he nuzzled into his makeshift cocoon and prepared to let slumber overtake him. Finally feeling content, he slowly drifted back into his dream.

The sounds of birds chirping kept the poor boy from falling back asleep. Grunting he covered his ears with his hands and buried himself further into the blanket. Leaving only the top of his hair showing.

Silence finally graced him as the birds flew away, smiling to himself he uncovered his head. Pushing himself into a sitting position, he stretched his arms out as he yawned. Relaxing his stiff muscles, he looked around his room with a content face. Everything was nice and quiet, leaving the entire room feeling peaceful.

"Hm, I could have sworn I was forgetting something." He looks up for a second thinking of what it maybe. When nothing comes to mind, he shrugs to himself and prepares for the day ahead.

The black hair male walked to the front of his room and picked out a random pair of slippers to wear. Finally opening the door, he began his journey to the kitchen for a much-needed snack.

All of the lights on the first floor were turned off, seeing as how no one was awake yet. Yawning once more he opened the refrigerator door and searched for something to eat.

Creak.

It was probably just a loose floorboard.

Creak.

Uh maybe Denki was trying a new tiktok dance?

Creak.

Nope the house was haunted.

A hand suddenly grabbed Sero's shoulder. A high-pitched squeal left his throat as the hand made contact.

"Dammit soy sauce! What are ya screaming for?!" A rough voice yelled. Bakugou placed his hands over his ears to shield them from the unholy screech.

"Oh Bakugou, it was just you." A sigh of relief left Sero's mouth as he clutched his heart dramatically. "Don't scare me like that man, those weird creaking sounds were terrifying." He patted Bakugou's forearm as he waited for his heart rate to lower.

"Huh?! What creaking?!" He gave the boy a confused look.

"The one that was jus-"

Creak.

The eyes of both the teenagers grew wide as the sound echoed from the dining area. It was six a.m. on a Saturday morning, no one else was supposed to be awake. Jumping behind Bakugou, Sero uses him as a human shield as they inch closer to the dining table.
