Zihao smiles as he hears a familiar laugh

Zihao smiles as he hears a familiar laugh. Raising an eyebrow at the addition of someone else, he walks to the couple sitting at the end of the bar. "I never thought I'd see you here, Doc."

The older woman swats the air in front of her with a huge grin. "Nonsense! Besides Ira wanted to drop by and meet you." Doc looks at her partner lovingly as they skim over the drink menu.

Zihao tilted his head slightly at the lack of response until Doc pointed at her ears. "She's completely Deaf." She explains.

"Ah." Turning around, the male pours two cups of ice water and gentle places in front of them. He didn't want to be rude and touch her, so this was the best course of action to get their attention. He knew how annoying it could be when someone just suddenly grabbed him.

Her eye trail to the glass in front of her and then to the male who offered it to her. Before they could ask Doc to translate for them, Zihao began to sign. "Welcome to my bar, I'm glad Doc found someone to keep her in line." He sent her a playful smile as he ignored the hurt expression on Doc's face.

"I'm assuming by your shocked expression that she forgot to mention I'm hard of hearing." Zihao moves his hair slightly so she could get a glimpse of his hearing aid.

Shaking off their initial shock, Ida nods. "It seems as if it slipped her mind. But it is rather nice to not have to write everything down." Sending her lover a teasing glare, she giggles silently to herself.

"Well can I get you two anything to drink? I'm sure Doc will just have her usual. I also have virgin drinks." While the region they lived in wasn't as diverse, Zihao felt as if he should serve non-alcoholic drinks as well. Not only for people who just want to unwind in the scenery, but also for those who cannot or will not drink due to religious reasons.

"A Shirley Timple will do." Ida replies politely as she places the menu in front of her. Offering them one last smile, Zihao rushes off to complete their drinks.

Hu yawns as he walks into the bar. His lower back ached from carrying around all of Aizawa's papers. The old man sure as hell wasn't showing him any mercy. Taking a deep breath in, he drowns in the smell of alcohol and coffee. The bar always seemed to have the same comforting scent every time he entered. "I'm closed already Hu."

"Pfft, you always have time for me. Why else would you leave the door unlocked?" He teases as he takes a seat. Right as he sits down, an ice cube hits him in the center of his forehead.

"You missed Doc and her partner. They were here about an hour ago." Zihao snickers at Hu's expression before passing him a glass of water and pain medicine. Before Hu could react, the door flies open. "And here comes thing two." L/n mutters as he turns around.

"Never fear! I am here!" Hawks proclaims as he pretends to fly around the room.

"I can't believe your quoting that old movie." Hu rolls his eyes as he washes down the pills.

Zihao chokes down an annoyed groan as the two begin to bicker again. Flickering off the lights, he leaves the two in the dark. "I'm going to start charging you both rent." He whispers under his breath before going upstairs.

Meet Ida :) who I absolutely adore

[Last name undecided] Ida
Age: 28
Height: 5'4
Ethnicity: Indian

Sadly, they will only appear in this mini-series, they may make a sudden pop up in the other book but I doubt it. She is more of a comfort character rather than main storyline

You'll also notice Zihao being a lot more expressive in this mini-series. It's a wonder what a world without quirks does for the soul.

BUT DOC IS GOING TO FINALLY MAKE HER DEBUTE IN GREEN SMOG SOON :D
