You know the drill, [title] and bom short story

Tw: death, gore, blood, no joke man I went all out. Good luck

--------------------
[Even in death]

The man smiled from beneath his violet cover. A mere puppet of the man he was. But in a sense, it brought him a sense of peace. Knowing that even in death, he'd never be forgiven for his actions. Forced to watch from someone else's eyes as he brought harm to the only person left that he loves. How idiotic.

Emotions seemed to no longer exist, after all he was past his expiration date. A date long overdue. Yet he could not ignore the sinking of his chest the moment he saw his son. For what seemed to be ages of silence, the sound of his own thoughts seemed to roar to life once more.

But for not. A corpse can do nothing but idly watch through the purple mist as his body aids in the destruction of his own blood. God shall never forgive him, even in death.

--------------------
[why?]

Shinsou flinched as heavy hands grasped his shoulders. He could feel their finger nails digging into his skin, causing the blood to drip down his back. His normal response would be to wince, but how could he when those once warm grey eyes were staring at him with so much hatred?

No words could be formed as he stared breathlessly at his mentor towering over him. A look of disgust danced on Zihao's face as he peered down at the teenager. "You really believed you could be a hero? Pfft, pathetic. All we ever needed was your quirk, how does it feel to finally be quirkless? Are you happy now?" He snarled while releasing the younger from his grip.

Stumbling back, Shinsou used his arms to keep him from falling all the way down. His body shook as the panic set in. He was quirkless. All For One took his quirk. It was all a set up. The whole time. Zihao never believed in him. It was all just, fake. "Your wish came true, maybe now you can be a hero without worrying." Chuckling at his own joke, Zihao disappeared into the night, leaving the one student who looked up to him the most feeling empty.

--------------------
[shh i forgive you]

Eri let out a pained scream as her horn began to emit a bright yellow hue. They were doing so good keeping her okay. Keeping her safe. Keeping everyone else safe. So why now? Why did everything go wrong?

Zihao rushed into the room, his eyes darted across the room as he tried to locate the sound of the scream. His body freezes as he sees Eri wailing in pain. Without a second thought, he falls to the floor and tries to calm her down without touching her.

"Honey he isn't here, I promise you. You're safe now, he'll never get you again." He whispered lovingly, trying to keep himself from allowing the anxiety to take over.

"NO! STOP! GET AWAY!" In a panic, Eri threw her arms into the air. Her soft hands grazed against Zihao's arms. Not even comprehending what she did, she continues to plead for her life. Broken sobs leave her mouth as she tries to shove the man away.

Holding back his own tears, Zihao envelops her into a hug, using what little time he had to try to calm her. He knew Aizawa would never get there in time, he knew. But there was no point in hiding when he already fell victim to her quirk. "It's okay little love, don't cry. It's only Zihao hun, just me. Please wipe your tears." Rubbing his thumbs over her cheeks, he cupped her face gently with his hands. Fighting back the urge to wince at the pain of her quirk, he continues until the last moment. "You're safe now, Ai will walk through the door in a second. I promise, you'll never be harmed again." Rocking her back and forth, he felt his mind slowly digress until he could barely form a thought.

With one last whisper, he finally allowed his body to disappear into nothingness. "Shhh, never fear, I'll always forgive you..."

Only a second later, Aizawa stormed into the room with his capture weapon raised. He didn't even need to ask what happened, he knew by the smell of green tea that was going faint. Activating his quirk, he scoops up Eri into his arms. Her mind was still overrun with her illusion that she wasn't even aware of what she's done. Aizawa stood torn from his emotions as the smell finally vanished.
