"I'll be right there." AJ said the second the girl on the other end of the phone finished her sentence, "Wait, are you at home or at Cobra Kai?"
"Home." The other girl sighed wondering if calling AJ would create more problems or help fix some of them.
"Okay." AJ whispered, "Like I said, I'll be right there Nichols."
She hung up the phone and retreated to where everybody else was currently building the deck, "Sensei." she spoke startling Johnny who was standing to the side observing and critiquing everyones building technique.
"Yeah, Mills?" He said not looking away from Demetri who was dragging more pieces of wood.
"I got called into work, their understaffed and I really need to go." AJ lied her ass off not wanting to tell him the real reason that she was leaving.
"Okay." Johnny dismissed her not really listening, "Will you be a man and pick it up?!" He snapped at Demetri before storming over to him.
AJ sighed and turned coming face to face with Eli, "Hey!" she exclaimed loudly.
"Hi." He laughed a little wondering why she was so jumpy all of a sudden.
"Tessa called me into work, so I have to leave, but I can come back to pick you up." AJ said even though she didn't know how long she would be getting the medicine for.
"It's okay, Demetri can take me home don't worry about it, just focus on work and doing your job." Eli assured her making her feel extremely guilty about lying where she was going.
Even though she wanted to tell him she knew she couldn't since it would only cause more issues with the new dojo and they already had other things to worry about.
AJ gave him a small smile "Okay, see you later." she said before kissing him quickly.
She gave the dojo one last look before rushing to where her car was, preparing to come face to face with someone who was now her enemy.

As AJ drove the familiar path to the apartment complexes all she could think about was how stupid this decision probably was. This is a person who hurt her beyond belief, someone who left not only a permanent scar but a mental one.
She pulled her car into the complex parking lot and tried to force down the water that she had with her. Her hands were shaking so badly that AJ could barely open up her car door and get out.
The slam of the car door was the sign for the girl inside the apartment to step out and face her new enemy in a new light.
And there she was, leaned up against the drivers side of her car, glancing around like someone was going to jump out of the bushes and attack her.
This was the first time that Tory Nichols had come face to face with AJ Mills since the night she gave her the large scar that stood out more than her eyes.
"Surprised you actually came." Tory sighed as she stepped closer to the side.
The sound of Tory's voice startled her. AJ forced herself to at least look at her. It was Tory, she shouldn't be afraid of her, in her mind she had no right to be.
Tory had changed her look. Instead of an ombré hair color it was all brunette now. Somehow the color change made her look even more menacing than before.
AJ glanced to the sided and chewed on her lip, "So am I."
"No one from Cobra Kai is here, so just relax." Tory rolled her eyes when she noticed AJ's continuous looks to the side.
