Chapter 11

"Check it, mother of dragons better read it and weep." AJ held her forearm out to Demetri and Eli.

Demetri's eyebrows immediately raised as he stared at the dragon tattoo then at the grinning girl, "Is that real?"

"No Demetri, it's a sticker!" AJ responded sarcastically while Eli examined the tattoo closely despite having been right next to her when she got it done.

"It looks sick." Eli smiled as he looked at the happiness on her face.

AJ turned her attention away from the judgmental brunet boy, "Thank you." she looked back at Demetri for a second, "And why would it be a sticker? You were there when the needle went into my arm before passing out."

"Well it's not every day I watch a needle get injected into someones arm like that!" Demetri defended himself from her attack, "And she was practically scraping your arm on the shading!"

AJ shook her head, "You're making it worse for yourself."

"You also screamed when it happened." Eli added on with a small smirk.

"Don't we have to leave?" Demetri huffed turning to look at AJ, "You promised Yasmine we would visit."

"No, you promised, I have to make flyers for Tessa." She corrected him before looking back at Eli, "I'm sorry I can't stay for the rest of your tattoo." her lips formed a small pout as she looked down at him.

Eli shook his head and grabbed her hand, "Don't worry about it honey, just go make the flyers and I will see you later at the sensei showdown."

AJ scoffed at the ending of his sentence. She hated the fact that Daniel and Johnny were planning on having a fight. It completely defeated the purpose of working together but then again they never really followed that process in the first place. All she hoped was that it didn't create a divide between anyone.

"I still think that fight is stupid." She mumbled before leaning down and kissing him gently, "Text me once you're done."

"I will." Eli smiled at her before kissing he knuckles and letting her hand go. He watched as she snapped her fingers at Demetri who immediately mocked her.

All was well, that is until five minutes after his best friend and girlfriend left the tattoo shop.

"Can the horns be a little more curved?" Tessa asked, well ordered slightly as she peered over AJ and Richies shoulders at the flyers they were designing for her.

AJ slowly glanced at Richie who looked equally annoyed at their boss. Yasmine and Demetri had left the restaurant a half-hour ago and now they were the only two that Tessa could pester.

"Got it Tess." Richie sighed as he adjusted how the horns of the ram looked.

"And can-" Tessa got cut off by AJ.

"Why don't you save all requests until you see some of the finished products?" She gave Tessa a fake smile while trying to hide the venom in her voice.

Tessa held her hands up and gave AJ a glare, "Message received, just don't fuck it up."     

AJ shook her head, "We won't." She promised before turning back to face the laptop trying to ignore the loud atmosphere of the restaurant.

Once Tessa had walked away Richie opened his mouth to talk to AJ, "Nice tattoo mother of dragons."

AJ snorted and shook her head at him. After he half yelled at her in the hall and the night at the drive in she tried to avoid speaking to him like a friend.
