"I look like a creampuff."
AJ huffed and turned around to face the old trio of girls who were forcing her to try on every dress in sight. She was the last one out of the group to find her dress so now it was a personal fashion show of just her.
Yasmine nodded in agreement with a disgusted look on her face as she stared at her best friend in a puffy tan prom dress.
"I thought it looked nice." Sam muttered softly as she looked between AJ and Yasmine who both had looks of disgust at the dress she had picked out for AJ.
"I just don't think I'm a ball gown kind of person." AJ explained trying to not hurt Sam's feelings.
Yasmine flipped her hair over one of her shoulders, "You know we wouldn't of had to do this if you had gotten your dress I don't know not a day before prom!"
AJ folded her arms defensively, "To be fair I didn't know I was actually going to prom until very late! That and I didn't have you here to tell me when I looked bad."
"I could have done that over face time!" The blonde chastised, "Now go change out of that, I have an option waiting for you in there."
"It better not be hot pink." AJ warned her with a glare.
"Whats wrong with hot pink?" Sam gave her a look knowing that her dress was that same color.
"It would clash with my hair!" AJ held up a strand of lavender before rushing off into the dressing room to change not wanting to further explain herself to Sam.
She could hear Moon try and comfort Sam from the dressing room but AJ was to preoccupied staring at the velvet dress in front of her.
"What a fucking option." AJ murmured as she stepped back and fully admired the black dress hanging in front of her.
She quickly ditched the other dress she had on and pulled the new one on. She managed to zip herself up and the girl that she saw staring back at her scared her.
The dress hugged every inch of her chest and waist before slightly flaring out down to the floor. There was a large slit that was cut up to her upper right thigh, it even had slightly puffed black long sleeves that accented the muscle she had built up over her years of training. The neckline was straight across leaving room for a necklace to be paired with it.
The girl looked powerful, threatening. Her eyes were bright against the dark color of the dress and her hair stood out amongst the black. That long scar across her face made her look like a runaway princess that taught herself how to sword fight and earned the mark in a battle.
"AJ! Let's go, we want to see it!" Yasmines voice cut through her thoughts like their own sword.
AJ gave herself one last look before walking out of the dressing room and standing in front of them, "Well?"
"Yes!" Moon cheered at the sight of her, "You look stunning!"
"Wow." Sam muttered staring at her feeling a slight sense of jealousy come up in her stomach which she quickly pushed away.
Yasmine had a cocky smile on her face, "Your welcome."
"Thanks." AJ smiled at her, "Based on everyones reactions I think we are leaning towards this one?"
"You would be stupid not to get it!" Yasmine exclaimed, "You look hot, and that is always the reason to buy an item of clothing"
.AJ gave her an odd look, "Um, okay." She paused for a second, "Don't know if we should go shopping together if that's your motto, I'm trying to go to Stanford or some other preppy ass school not be broke."
