The night after getting back from Freddy's, (S/N) was ecstatic from being able to see Chica. We were hanging out in the living room, watching the Freddy TV show. (S/N) was bouncing all over the place until Mom came back, worn out from a long day at work, per usual. Once she stepped a single foot in the house, (S/N) was over to her in a matter of seconds.
"Mom, Mom, Mom! I got to see Chica and (Y/N) won a Fazer Blaster!" They showed off said blaster to the poor woman who simply nodded as she took off her shoes.
"That's great honey, I'm glad you two had a good time."
Mom yawned before sluggishly making her way to her bedroom, (S/N) blabbing more about our day while following her. I shook my head a bit and smiled towards (S/N).
"Hey let Mom get a little rest, ok kiddo?"
(S/N) left Mom alone and came back to the living room, continuing to watch their show. I got up from my seat to start making dinner for the three of us. It was pretty quiet the whole time until Mom came back out of her room, freshened up and more relaxed.
"How was work Mom?" I asked, looking back at her from the food for a quick moment.
"The usual honey. Busy and chaotic." She said, sitting down in the living room with (S/N).
Once the food was done, I made Mom and (S/N) plates, giving the plates full of food to them in the living room. Mom thanked me, grabbing the plates from me and putting (S/N)'s down on the coffee table in front of her. I got my own plate full of food and sat down next to Mom.
As we ate, Mom flipped through one of the new newspapers we got in the mail. Her face reacted to what she read, switching from looks of confusion and content. At one point, her eyes lit up from something she read.
"(Y/N), there's a job opening at the Pizzaplex. They are looking for someone to help with the kitchen."
I looked up at her, taking in the information.
"What about looking after (S/N) during that time?"
She smiled. "They allow employees' kids to hang out at the daycare while they work, no charge."
"Seems too good to be true...I'm in. I'll go there tomorrow to apply." I told her, a bit excited about working at Freddy's and having (S/N) looked after while I work.
"I get to see Chica again?!" (S/N) asked, hinting that they were listening to our conversation over the TV show. Mom and I both nodded at her, smiling as well.
I grabbed our finished plates, put them in the sink, and headed off to bed. I'd have to get up early in the morning if I wanted to apply to Freddy's and snag the available slot.
The morning quickly came, allowing me to wake up right before my alarm clock could begin to be annoying. I yawned before getting up to go to the bathroom and freshen up myself to make a somewhat decent impression on whoever is hiring. Doubt they'll be picky, given their suspicious history.
Mom wished me luck as I left the house, getting in my car to head over to the Pizzaplex. Traffic was average until I got to Freddy's. Cars were pooling into the place left and right trying to nab a parking spot.
"Guess it's time to put Cars into play." I put my sunglasses on and started the badass process of nabbing a parking spot. A few minutes passed before I was able to snag a spot that was near the Pizzaplex, fist-bumping myself in victory.
"And that's how it's done bitches."
I got out of my car and quickly walked up to the entrance, the application that I filled out earlier in hand. My nerves did flare up the further I walked into the lobby and up to the lady at the pass counter to submit the application.
"Welcome to Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizzaplex! How can I help you?"
"Hi, I'd like to apply for a position in the kitchen." I pulled up my application and handed it to her.
She grabbed the other end of the paper in her hands, quickly scanning over what I put in the requirements.
"Looks like everything is filled out correctly. We'll contact you within the week if you are hired."
"Thank you for your time," I said, smiling at her before making my way back out to the parking lot. As soon as I got back in my car, I let a sigh of relief out of my body, glad the hard part was over. Now all I had to do was wait to hear back from the employer.
I turned on my car and exited the parking lot, blasting some of my favorite tunes. The ride home was pretty chill until some police cars began heading towards the Pizzaplex, queuing my interest.
"I wonder what happened that way; There weren't any accidents when I passed..."
Shrugging my shoulders, I turned my focus back on getting home. I saw (S/N) playing in the playground that was right across from our house as I pulled into the driveway. Mom was on a bench nearby, most likely to keep an eye on (S/N).
(S/N) came running like a track star towards me when I got out of the car, Mom yelling behind them.
"Honey, don't cross the street without looking!" She shouted.
Obviously, (S/N) didn't listen to our mother since they ran across anyway. They luckily didn't get hit by anyone, I don't need to witness them getting murdered in my life.
"(S/N), you know better than to run out in the street without looking. You could've gotten severely hurt, Monkey." I told them, resting my hands on my hips.
"I'm sorry...I just wanted to know if you got the job at Freddy's!" They said, giving me the biggest sad puppy dog eyes.
"We'll see soon, they didn't hire me right away."
(S/N) crossed their arms and huffed. "They better! I want to see Chica every day!"
I giggled at them and patted their head, which seemed to cheer them up a bit.
"Let's go play only the playground more, Monkey," I suggested (S/N).
We played for hours on end until it started getting dark. All three of us went inside the house and I started making dinner. Mom was getting ready for her night shift day while I packed up a helping for her to take.
"Thank you Dear; I bet it's delicious!" She said quickly, placing it in her work bag for later.
"Love you, Mom! Don't forget to eat during your shift!" I stated as I placed down a helping for (S/N) at the table.
"I love you Mommy!" (S/N) exclaimed as Mom put on her shoes.
"I love you too, kids!" She yelled, leaving the house and quickly taking off.
(S/N) sat down in front of their plate, quickly beginning to eat their dinner. I got my plate and sat down across from (S/N), starting to eat as well. We soon finished our meals, which meant it was time for (S/N) to get ready for bed.
"Alright Monkey, let's get you in your Chica PJs."
(S/N) didn't put up a fight, tired from the hours we spent at the playground. After I got them settled for bed, I grabbed my PJs and got in bed.
