Tensions in Arendelle ran high, the Royal Family were met with dead ends left and right. Their guards failed to find the eldest princess and that further cemented the dismay they were to face.

The matter revolving Elsa's appearance didn't leave beyond the walls of the castle, they didn't want to torment their citizens any further with terrible news, which seemed to be a frequent thing in Arendelle.

King Agnarr stared bitterly at the letters that had started to pile up on his desk, all from the same person.

King Maximus.

The Kingdom of Fyn and its emperors were growing anxious to get a reply from Arendelle, that much was evident from the amount of letters they sent everyday. Each piece of writing held the same question, 'When would be the best time to meet again?'

But how was he to give them a response when he didn't know where his daughter ran off to. The most qualified guards of his castle were unable to find any details of her whereabouts.

Circumstances would be different if Elsa magically came back with a qualified suitor because then, he could tell King Maximus and other rulers that she had been courted.

They wouldn't be able to object since it is mundane knowledge that whoever courts the Princess first, seals their alliance.

Apprehensively, he sighed. He kept telling the same lies but his gut told him that sooner or later, King Maximus would get suspicious, who wouldn't?

It pained him to even think this, yet the thoughts resurfaced occasionally. What had he done to get a daughter like Elsa?

She brought along such animosity that the Kingdom proved to be jeopardised in her hands, he couldn't take any risks. Even thinking about the mere thought of Arendelle being entrusted to her rule, horrified him. Her so-called 'gift' is only grave destruction that will be their downfall. Iduna likes to encourage her and conceal the dreadful truth with pretty little lies. Agnarr lost count of the times that his wife had said that their daughter's powers were something that should be valued, claiming it was a part of her.

However, even Iduna didn't believe the lies she recited anymore, he could tell. After all, no one knew his wife better than him.

It was a hassle bribing people, convincing them that the rumours encompassing his daughter were blown out of proportion. Instead, he'd attempt to lure them into believing that whatever she possessed was a minor technicality. When suspiciousness arose, he eradicated it by throwing them a bag full of riches.

Riches that could convince anyone because greed truly did control every dynasty.

When he did find a suitable realm for Elsa, Agnarr felt a sense of relief, his hard work paid off. Fyn wasn't a well established kingdom so their demands had been easy to meet. The King of Arendelle, offered them some money and with that they were happy to overlook all her flaws and were eager to accept her. But, what did his daughter do to thank him? She ran away, like a coward.

She knows nothing about duties. Nothing about maintaining stability, strengthening relations not just with civilians but on a grander scale, each domain.

His father's hard work would crumble if Elsa came to reign, tarnishing their legacy. He couldn't allow that to happen.

Anna tapped her fingers against the bedpost, trying to sit upright as Greta, their trusted maid braided her hair.

A lot of things were on her mind that she so desperately wanted to ask her mother and father but they'd lecture her and shun her into silence.
