A million thought were going through her head right now and Elsa could feel a headache coming. Maybe she had finally gone insane, that had to be it. She heard stories of how some people end up losing their sanity as they aged so maybe her time came early. Her mother hadn't even given her a moment of peace or quiet when news travelled to Arendelle that a prince from a faraway land filled with riches or so she heard, would come to visit the princess and potentially court her. Each day was filled with more nagging from her mother who wanted to make sure everything went perfectly. That had to be the reason she was hallucinating because in what would she be eternally trapped in a foreign land.

As much as she wished it were all a dream, it wasn't. Reality is something that doesn't just go away, regardless of how much we would like it to. She could make up scenarios that would help her be at peace but those would just be pretty little lies and she was above that. Taking a deep breath she looked between the two men that were having an intense conversation with one another. Her eyes scanned the entire room looking for an escape route but her only exit from the room were the large doors that were located near her abductors. Excellent.

A knock disrupted all of them putting a halt to whatever they were doing. Elsa looked to see a servant bow in front of the king and mumble something that was out of her hearing range. His face tensed up and his Royal Commander who she now knew as 'Hiccup' whispered something unintelligible.

The king rubbed his temples and rather loudly professed his next words, "Keep an eye on her." His gaze landed on her and she opened her mouth to reply with a witty remark but he had already excused himself.

Hiccup made his way to where she was standing and the maid followed suit. "This is Dorota, she is a trusted maid around here and has been taking care of King Jackson ever since he was a newborn. She will supply you with anything you need and will be here for you at all times." The maid gave her a warm smile which reminded her of her own maid back at home, Gerda. The princess promised herself that she would escape and go back to her home.

"Dorota, I am most certain you know why sh– sorry, Princess Elsa is here. King Jackson is counting on this to work and we must all do our part. You will make sure that she stays put and if at any time she disappears, you must inform me right away. Am I clear?" He asked.

She nodded, "I will do my best, anything for our King." Elsa held back a scoff, anything for their king? He was egotistical, narcissistic, overconfident, and cold.

Hiccup smiled, "Thank you Dorota. Now, I will take your leave. You can help her get to her room." With that he left, leaving Elsa alone with the eager maid.

"Oh, forgive me Princess!" She said, ushering to curtsey. Elsa waved a hand, she may hate the king and his Royal Commander but this innocent woman did nothing to her so why would she take her anger out on her. The woman seemed to be in her forties based on her facial features. She had on a black and white outfit and her hair was tied back in a perfect bun. When she talked you could hear her thick polish accent which prompted Elsa to think that she probably immigrated here back in the day.

"There is no need for that, trust me!" She smiled warmly. The maid seemed shocked but quickly went back to normal as she told Elsa to follow her.

Was the universe actually being in her favour and presenting her with an opportunity to escape? She made a mental note to thank her lucky stars. Once Dorota showed her where her room was, she would bolt.

The hallway they were walking in was dimly lit, it's light shone on the paintings that were hung up high on the walls. They were simple, elegant even, but a certain picture located in the centre captured her attention. 5 smiling faces were looking right back at her as if nothing could affect their happiness.
