Next day, Charline walked through the garden towards the meeting hall. They would talk about how they would move against Hadrian and Aldon. The garden was quiet as always. Charline enjoyed the silence when she suddenly heard a strange sound. She turned around slightly, "Hello, is someone there?," She asked. Suddenly, she felt someone grabbing her from behind. She screamed and Hadrian put his hand before her mouth and held a knife against her neck. "Scream and I'll cut out your heart! Do you understand!," He declared wickedly. Charline quickly nodded in fear. Hadrian used his magic to tie her hands in chains. "It's time my son pays for his treachery!," And they disappeared in a dark cloud of smoke.

Emersion was worried. He hadn't seen Charline on the whole afternoon and the meeting was soon to begin. She is late. She was never late. He knew that. Gideon sighed, "Maybe I should go looking for her," And Emersion sighed. Something was wrong. He knew it. What if something terrible had happened to her. "Looking for someone, son," Emersion turned around to see his father Hadrian behind him. Emersion felt his anger rise. "Charline... What have you done with her, you monster!," Hadrian smiled wickedly, "So scared for her. How weak. Don't worry. She's right here," And he conjured up Charline beside him. "Emersion.. I'm sorry.. He took me abruptly. I couldn't fight back. Please, help me," Emersion felt his anger rise. "Yes, my son! You save her! But to what price?," Hadrian smiled wickedly, "Let's see if you are as strong your mother! Wait! She died," And Emersion felt his anger rise and shot his glowing blue magic at his father. Hadrian smiled wickedly and absorbed his son's power and sent him onto the hard floor. "NO!," Charline exclaimed. "Quiet, Light Witch! Or I'll rip out your heart myself!," Hadrian threatened her angrily.
Emersion stood up, looking at his father in rage and shot his magic at his him, sending Hadrian to the ground. Emersion walked against his father with a fire ball in his hand when Hadrian suddenly stood up, holding his knife against Charline's heart. "One more step, and I'll kill her!," He threatened. Emersion stopped, looking at Charline, taking down his hands. "Let her go," Emersion demanded in surrender. Hadrian smiled wickedly, "With pleasure," And he took out his knife, cutting Charline in the arm before throwing dark dust on her. "NO!," Emersion exclaimed and hurried to catch Charline in his arms before she hit the ground. "A Demon knife, my son. The wound makes sure she dies painfully and slowly," Charline looked up at Emersion in pain. Emersion pulled out his Eldstar. "A healing rune can't cure her, my son, and you know that," Hadrian smiled wickedly. And Emersion felt his anger rise. "But your death can!," He declared angrily, gently laying down Charline on the floor. Hadrian smiled wickedly, "You cannot kill me! You're too weak!," And Emersion started fighting his father. Emersion grabbed his father and pressed him against the meeting table, taking his knife, pressing it against Hadrian's heart. "You've caused enough pain! May Adrienne have mercy on your soul!," And Hadrian looked up at his son angrily. Emersion then stabbed his father in the heart with the knife. Hadrian looked up at his son angrily before he turned into dust and disappeared. Emersion let go off the knife that fell to the floor. He turned and quickly hurried over to Charline who was laying on the floor with closed eyes, not breathing anymore. Emersion felt tears starting to stream down his cheeks and he gently took Charline into his arms, holding her tightly. "Please, don't leave me again," He begged. Faylinn, Eldrin, Gideon along with the others swallowed in sadness and shock. Emersion gently stroked Charline's dark brown long hair and kissed her forehead. For the first time in over thousands of years, Emersion prayed to Solania. "Please, do not take her from me," He whispered, "I need her... I love her with all my heart," Suddenly, the angel Zazriel, next highest of the angels appeared behind Emersion along with the spirit of Emersion's mother Alindiel. "Emersion," Zazriel spoke seriously. Emersion looked up at the angel and Alindiel went over to her son and smiled. Alindiel held her hand over Charline, sending light magic over The White Witch. Emersion swallowed confused and his mother's spirit stood up and left him and went over to the angel. Emersion looked up at the angel, "Please, I'll do anything. Just bring her back," And Zazriel smiled, "Emersion, you and Charline have showed that peace between the half demons and the gods and angles is possible. The Angels are proud of you. And you have defeated the greatest threat to Shivanna," And he went over to Emersion and used his magic over her and healed her wound and cured her of the demon venom. "Your love is blessed and forever saved and immortal," Zazriel declared. Emersion broke out into more tears, this time of happiness as Charline started breathing again. Zazriel smiled, "Protect her, love her and guard her will all your heart, Emersion," And Emersion smiled and turned to him, "I will, I promise, thank you," And Zazriel smiled, "You don't have to thank us. You have light, good in your heart, Emersion. You are not a Dark One. You are a Light Wizard," And they disappeared.
Emersion looked down at Charline who opened her eyes and smiled at him. "You're alive," Emersion exclaimed and took her into his arms, hugging her tightly, kissing the side of her forehead. Charline hugged him back and everyone in the hall smiled.
