S3 Episode 12: Flying Lessons

"Whoa!", Sari yelled out, as she flew into some of Ratchet's equipment. "Hey! I needed those!", Ratchet yelled out.

"Sorry.", Sari said, while standing up. "Sari, how many times have I told you not to fly with that thing in the base?!", Ratchet said, while putting his hand on his hip.

"Approximately 23 times.", Harvester said, not looking up from her work. Ratchet and Sari looked over at her then back at each other again.

"But Ratchet, I have to train somewhere in enclosed spaces. Where do Cybertronains learn to fly?", Sari asked. "How am I supposed to know! Only Decepticon fly, remember?", Ratchet snapped.

A slight cough was heard, as they looked over to see Jetstar standing there. "Excuse me.", Jetstar said.

"Well, almost all Decepticons.", Ratchet stated. Sari then ran over to Jetstar.

"Hey, Star! Can you teach me how to do this?", Sari asked, turning around to show off her jetpack. Jetstar looked down at her.

"Um... Are you sure? I've never really been a teacher before.", Jetstar said, while rubbing the back of her head. "Come on! It'll give us a chance to bond.", Sari said, as she started to run towards the exit.

"Race you!", Sari called out. "Oh, it's on!", Jetstar yelled out, while giving in pursuit.

Elsewhere, Optimus and Serenity were tracking down an Allspark fragment. "Optimus, may I ask you something?", Serenity said.

"Sure, Seri.", Optimus said, before pausing in his stride. "How do you think the other Cybertronians will take it that one of their princesses is a... Well, organic? They don't exactly have the best reputation on Cybertron.", Serenity said, while walking beside him.

Optimus then hummed. "I honestly don't really know. I mean, we haven't been there since we arrived on Earth. Things may have changed.", Optimus said, while wrapping his arm around her.

"Yes...", Serenity trailed off, before looking off into the distance. Optimus could sense something else was bothering her.

"Serenity, what else is troubling you?", Optimus asked. She snapped her head to look at him.

"I can't hide anything from you, huh love?", Serenity said, before kissing his cheek. She looked down at the ground.

"I worried for my uncle.", Serenity continued. Optimus understood what she was going through.

Ultra Magnus was on spark support. And he wasn't sure how things were going to turn out.

Optimus then hugged her close. "I'm not sure what the future holds, Serenity. But, I hope you know I will help you and be there for you. No matter what.", Optimus said.

Back at the base, Sari sat on the roof, as she watched Jetstar doing flips in the air. Jetstar transformed and appeared like she was going to hit the ground only to fly up again and many other dangerous stunts.

"Awesome! How did you learn to do all that?", Sari asked. "When I was in the Elite Guard, we had to learn a bunch of tricks to deal with Decpetcons.", Jetstar said, before getting a sad look on her face.

"You miss them, don't you?", Sari asked. "Who?", Jetstar asked.

"Your brothers... You were all pretty close weren't you.", Sari asked. Jetstar sat down next to her.

"Yeah, I haven't seen them since they thought I was dead. And I haven't been able to get a hold of them through our transmissions. I think Sentinel won't let us talk to them because of what happened last time they were here.", Jetstar replied. She suddenly shot her head up.

"But, enough depressing stuff. Your turn.", Jetstar smiled. Sari looked up at her.

"Okay! First, you don't need to stay happy. You can always talk to me... And B... I'm not sure I can do all that you can.", Sari said. Jetstar then jumped off the roof.

"It's not too hard. Just start with some of the simpler ones.", Jetstar said. "Okay.", Sari said, before jumping off the roof.

Violet and Prowl were heading back from their excursion in the woods back to the base. "Are you... Alright, love?", Violet asked Prowl.

He had been really quiet the whole time. Even more... Quiet than was usual for Prowl.

"What? Oh, yes! I'm fine.", Prowl said. Violet wasn't buying it, as she transformed once they arrived at their base.

"Prowl, you have to tell me what is bothering you.", Violet said, while walking up to him. Prowl then transform and looked into her optics.

"I-I couldn't protect you when you needed me most. I couldn't save Yokatron... Your sire. I-I'm a failure in that way and feel unworthy of you.", Prowl explained. Violet then grabbed his hand.

"Prowl...", Violet said, before turning his head towards her. "You don't know if there was anything you could have done. You could have been killed that day. None of us expected it.", Violet continued.

Prowl wandered off a bit. "But, I promised him I would take care of you.", Prowl whispered, while thinking of Yokatron.

Violet then walked over and stood in front of Prowl. "Prowl, you can't blame yourself for something you had no control over. In the end, you did save me. You protected me.", Violet said.

Prowl lifted up his head and realized how close they were. And getting closer until...

"Look out!!!", Sari called out, almost slamming into them. But, Prowl pushed Violet out of the way and landing on top of her.

"Sari, are you okay?", Violet asked. "Yeah! I'm good!", Sari replied, while standing and dusting herself off.

"You almost had it that time.", Jetstar called out, before transforming and landing in front of her. "What are you two doing?", Prowl asked, while helping Violet up.

"Training.", Sari and Jetfire both answered. "On what?", Prowl asked.

"On how to be awesome.", Jetstar answered. "I need some help learning to fly with my jetpack.", Sari explained.

"Perhaps... I could be of some assist.", Prowl said, before walking over. "After all I do have a turbo booster.", Prowl continued.

"I think we got it.", Jetstar said, before playing it off like no big deal, while Sari was shaking her head. "Have you started her with some of the basics?", Prowl asked.

"A few. But, maybe not as much I should have.", Jetstar said, before rubbing her arm. Prowl then chuckled.

"Teaching doesn't always come naturally. You'll get better. Both of you will.", Prowl said, while looking down at Sari. "How about I take over for a bit?", Prowl suggested.

"You don't mind do you, Sari?", Jetstar asked. "Nah. I'll be okay. Maybe we can do more tomorrow.", Sari suggested.

"Okay. I'm going to go find Bumblebee.", Jetstar said, while taking off flying. So, that is how it went.

Prowl would teach Sari some of the basics and Jetstar would show her some of the more fun lessons.
