The sixth day of Kwanza had arrived and Aoife was more than excited. Bruno was excited and nervous.
Aoife didn't know why all she knew was that she and he were going to do a play! It mostly relied on the spot.
" Bruno! You have to at least give me a script!" She spoke out hastily trying to make the boy tell her.
" I can't though mi Amor" he spoke quickly digging in his pocket for the lost salt throwing up in the air.
" Bruno are you overthinking! Stop throwing the salt it's getting in my hair meil" she sputtered as the boy stopped.
" D-don't forget to change for today too, the kwanza colors?" He pondered out loud as the girl shook her head slightly.
" Red, black, and green meil" she commented as she quickly saw how the sun was setting giving him a quick kiss.
" I have to go now to get ready! Take care" she hummed taking her pink skirts in her hand as she ran toward her house. Pushing into her house she saw her father and mother bustling in joy while her parents saw her. Bringing her into the dance as they hustled together. Slightly stopping from breathing hard.
" Momma, Dad. Bruno is acting weird lately." She spoke her hands on her knees as she huffed slightly.
" Antonio" her mom called out to her father as he just smiled at his daughter.
" Ohh Aoife just wait till your play, stop pushing" He hummed while her mom watched a smile on her face while her daughter just pushed herself from her knees going to her room.
"Oh! Black and green!" She hummed toward herself as she placed the black shirt on and the green skirts on. Adjusting her promise ring slightly as she smiled her hair tied down slightly by a red cloth
At the Casita, Bruno was knocking on wood, repeatedly Julieta slightly rubbing his back while Pepa had a rainbow over her.
" Bruno stops overthinking, she will love it. It's Aoife for crying out loud, the girl was happy you gave her a string." Julieta promised her younger brother.
" Yes! She's going to be excited about this!"Pepa spoke her voice squeaking as she and her sister dressed in red her brother in a red poncho and black pants a long green sleeve under his poncho slightly tinkering with the box.
" Meil she will love it." His mamá spoke as she eyed the box smiling rubbing her now bare finger. She was proud of her son, and no matter what she wanted to pass the ring Pedro was still in her heart no matter what, with or without the ring. The idea she was passing it down to her family. The Madrigal house hood would grow with greatness.
" mamá are you ok with me giving her..." he wanted to say it but he couldn't...
Alma walked over her hand on his face, as she crinkled up into a small smile. " Bruno, you are a Madrigal. This is your family and you will be starting your own. Your padre would be so proud of you." She spoke as she creased his face.
