It'd only been a week since you started you're maintenance job at the esteemed Fazbear Pizza Plex and you were finally starting to get the hang of things. Though of course you were still in training, so it was going to take a bit of time before you could be completely confident. You're job mainly consisted of low difficulty tasks such as small repairs on staff bot animatronics, facility equipment, etc. You hoped to one day work on bigger scale equipment, but for now you're working on gaining experience before moving up in the field. "Alright y/n, you seem to be picking up things pretty quickly, and from the looks of it, you should be able to handle tasks on your own now." A higher up staff member who was training me explained to me that I would no longer need to be accompanied during my work unless I required assistance. This was fine for me, I had done engineering jobs before this, so I was pretty confident in my prior experience. "Alright, thanks. I said as the staff member walked off out of sight, leaving me with a few minor tasks left for the night, mainly maintenance on minor bots around the building. "Well. Guess I'd better get started then." I looked around at my surroundings as I walked out of the staff room I had been training in, entering the main plaza of the giant building. It was still opening hours but it would be closing soon, so there weren't as many people around the building as there would be during the day. All the lights were still on gleaming nicely, paired with the abstract colorful pattern on the carpet. Before getting this job, I had never been to the place before. It surprises people when I tell them due to the fact that it was immensely popular. One of the most popular attractions in the country. I just never found a reason to check it out as I'd recently turned 20 and didn't have any children. Some argue it's not just for children's entertainment, and that anyone of any age could have fun, but it just wasn't for me. I preferred to stay away from crowds anyways.

I walked through the plaza towards the direction of the next bot I had to do repairs on. Children gleefully laughed holding various merchandise while their parents looked exhausted, seemingly excited to finally go home. I smiled to myself as I approached the malfunctioning staff bot stuck in a corner due to a programming error. I began my work which was fairly easy as it was just a minor problem that wasn't too difficult for me to handle. As I was finishing up, the speakers around the building sounded to let everyone know the facility was about to close. The small crowds and families started to disperse and soon enough it was just me and a few other staff members finishing up our tasks. I took notice of one of the main four animatronics, Chica, reentering her room through the back door after what I assumed was maintenance, due to the fact the other three hadn't returned yet. It wasn't common for me to see any of them, as I usually worked in the lower floor and in back rooms, so it was pretty cool, seeing as though they were considered celebrities. "Robot celebrities..." I sighed to myself. "Technology really is so advanced these days." I studied engineering as a trade, but I can't fully wrap my head around the astounding mechanisms of such bots. They seems so life-like. Human almost... "Creepy." I thought to myself. But they're just programmed bots after all. I wasn't a conspiracy theorist or anything. I didn't really believe in a robot apocalypse or anything like that. The mere thought of it made me chuckle.

Just then as I was about to head back down to the maintenance rooms, I saw Roxxane return to her room, immediately walking to her mirror. She was insanely popular with teen boys due to her "attractive design" I guess you could say. It seemed a bit weird to me, but I'm not one to judge so I laugh it off whenever I hear the weird comments about her. I shook my head to regain focus on my task at hand. I make it to a repair room where a few other staff are packing up for the night. "Hmm" I think to myself. "Is everyone already leaving?" I know I had late hours tonight, but I didn't expect other workers to be leaving so soon. "Hey, I didn't expect everyone to be leaving so soon. Just out of curiosity, how many people are going to be on shift tonight?" I asked genuinely curious as I assumed there would be more staff on. "Just you tonight." I tried to hide the suprise and shock I felt. "Oh really?? I only just ended my training. I didn't expect to be left alone on a shift so soon." I explained. "Yeah well, considering your experience, our supervisor deems you trustworthy to work on your own. Oh! He told me to let you know to refer to the employee help system we have set up if you need it. And I don't believe you are going to be completely alone. Usually they have a security guard patrol the building for any trespassers." the worker explains. "Alright, thanks. Have a nice night." I say with a smile. I couldn't lie and say I wasn't a bit nervous but I just shook it off. "A pay checks a pay check." I mumbled to myself. I waved the other staff off and soon enough it was just me left in the building, perhaps a security guard was around somewhere which made me feel a bit more at ease. I began gathering some materials for my next task which was a faulty light in one of the back maintenance rooms. I began heading towards my destination, walking through the dim lit staff tunnels. Just then, I began to hear a metal clanging noise off through one of the vents. Normally I would just shrug this off, but it was uncomfortably loud and out of place. I figured it wouldn't hurt to see what is was and I had a bit of time to spare so I decided to check it out.

I followed the source of the sound and ended up in a dark staff tunnel. "This area is temporarily closed!" Read a sign as a walked passed, noticing the surrounding yellow caution tape. I heard there was an incident with one of the animatronics involving a birthday party area, where apparently said animatronic trashed it for whatever reason. I didn't know which animatronic, and I couldn't really guess as I didn't know much about the main cast in general. The noise grew louder as I approached a dim lit hallway which only grew darker as I pressed on. "Shit, this place really is giant." I whisper to myself, now wondering if it was really worth it to check the noise out. Well, I've come this far I figured. I slowly walked further in shining my flashlight at my surroundings. It was sort of damp and there were cobwebs here and there. Suddenly the noise abruptly stopped with a loud, close bang that startled me, causing me to drop my flashlight and trip over my own foot onto the cold concrete. "Ugh" I grumble disorientated from the fall. I hit my head on the wall, but not too hard to cause serious injury. I gain some energy back and start to pick myself up off the ground. I rub my eyes realizing that dropping the flashlight caused it to shut off and I was now in almost pitch black darkness. I go to reach for my cellphone that's in my back pocket to provide some more light. "CLANG" I gasp and nearly collapse back down at the incredibly loud sound inches in front of my head. I covered my ears and crouched out of instinct. Heart racing, I look up and find two glowing red eyes peering at mine from maybe only a foot away. It's the gator animatronic from the main cast. Montgomery I think it was. His left arm was outstretched to the side, hand placed flat on the wall. I assumed that was the source of the loud clang just seconds ago. He looked at me and sneered.

"Where do ya think you're going, sweetheart?
