It's now noon on Monday and I wake up, still feeling tired from the night before. My friend and I ended up going to a few shops before heading home, so I was out rather late into the night. "Ughh." I grumble at the slight headache pounding in between my eyes. I take a quick shower, throw on my uniform and head off to work.

I arrive and I head to the staff area as usual. "Y/n!! Hey!!" A familiar voice belonging to my co worker Aiden greets me. "Hey Aiden. What's up?" I reply. He seems chipper. Quite a contrast from my exhausted mood. "Take a look! My list we have a joint task today. Another light fixture in the main stage area is loose, and we don't won't what happened last time to happen again. So, they're having us fix it up to ensure everything is safe for the party goers. It's a two person job!" He explains while holding his list up. "Hmm, I see. Man, they really need to be careful with those fixtures. Well, i'm looking forward to it then." I smile at him. "I'll see you then, y/n." He says and I nod in response before heading to my equipment. I grab my tools, look over my list and go about my usual work day.

After a few hours, it's time for my joint task with Aiden in the main stage area. I head to the staff area and find him gathering his supplies. "I'm ready when you are, Aiden. Though, isn't there a show about to start? Is it really okay for us to fix it right now?" I ask. "Yes, I wondered that too, but we should be fine. The light is off to the side and it shouldn't take long at all. Just need to tighten it up." He explains before turning to the door. "Well, after you then." He holds the door open for me and, after thanking him, we head to the area with the loose light fixture. We arrive shorty after, and there's a decent crowd gathered around for the upcoming show. Kids cheering and playing, even teenagers and some college students are around enjoying themselves. Aiden sets up a ladder under the light and starts looking for the tools he needs to tighten the bolts. "Alright, y/n, want me to go up and you hold the ladder and hand me the tools? Or vice versa." He asks and I think for a moment. I've never really had to use a ladder before, and this one's kind of high up. "Errr.." I wince in my head at the thought of climbing up there. "I guess I need the experience, but I sure as hell won't enjoy it." I think it over one last time. "I can do it." I finally reply to him and he nods, moving out of the way so I can get to the ladder. "Don't worry, y/n. If it's too much we could just switch at any time, alright?" He says, holding the ladder still as I begin to climb up. "Thanks, I appreciate it." I respond, trying to keep my voice from shaking as I move from step to step. I finally reach the top and Aiden hands me a screwdriver. After looking over the fixture carefully, I spot two screws that are pretty decently loose. "Alright then, not too bad. Just don't look down, y/n. Just don't look down." I say to myself quietly before starting on the first one. Cheers begin to erupt from behind me as the show is likely about to begin. I presume the main cast has just walked out, and soon after i'm proven correct as music begins to play loudly from the speakers. "Oh man this is nerve wrecking. I better hurry this up." I nervously move on to the next and final loose screw. "Right, all done." I sigh and begin climbing down the steep ladder. Once i'm about three steps to the bottom, I misstep and trip sliding down abruptly. "!!!" Before I reach the bottom Aiden smoothly catches me by the waist and places me gently on my feet. "Oh man..." I let out a sigh of relief before turning to him. "You alright? Good thing we both were here." He asks with a look of surprise on his face. "Yeah, i'm good. Thanks. You finally owed me." I say before we both let out a laugh. "Alright, that should be good then, let's get out of here." He says and we both gather our things before heading back to the staff area. I crouch and grab my tool bag, swinging it over my shoulder before standing back up, catching sight of the stage. Montgomery is in the middle of a solo, smoothly strumming, not missing a beat. The sight of him suddenly reminds me of Sunday night. He said to meet him in his room tonight. I guess I forgot. Suddenly my stomach starts to feel funny as nervousness washes over me. "Wonder what he wants tonight..." I ponder for a moment before snapping myself out of it. I need to get back to work. I turn around and head back to the staff area, following Aiden's lead. Once we're back, I wave him off after he explains that he's heading to his next task. I go over my list and begin heading to mine. A pipe leak in a back area. Not my usual work, but it seems easy enough. I arrive to the spot soon after and i'm in a dim lit hallway, seemingly connecting staff and backstage areas. I place my tool bag next to the slightly leaking pipe, and i crouch down to get a better look. Another tightening job... Pretty simple. I look through my bag for a wrench that matches the bolt size on the pipe. As I rummage through the various tools, I begin to hear giggling coming from a room tucked in at the end of the hallway. "Trespassers?" They sound young. I decide to take a peak, standing up before I head toward the sound. I turn the corner of the hallway and spot an open door. As I approach the door the sounds get louder. As I prepare myself to bust some teenagers, I slowly peak into the door. "...?!" I look inside and see Montgomery sitting in a chair, alongside two seemingly college aged girls, scantily dressed and quite gorgeous. I quickly move and stand with my back against the wall, right by the doorway, hand over my mouth to mask the gasp I let out. "They didn't see me right???" I nervously think it over in my head as my heart races. A moment passes before I hear a familiar voice yell out to the gator. It's Roxanne. "Hey!! Monty?! Quit being a slut and come help us go over this routine, will you?! "She calls out to him angrily. "Yeah, yeah, I'll be there in a minute, kay? You heard her, ladies. Time to go. Come and visit me agian soon, hmm?" He says to them in a deep flirty tone before they leave through another door leading to the main stage area. "Shit, i'd better get out of here. If he catches me, i'm dead for sure." I quietly begin walking in the direction I came. "Not so fast, sugar." A low voice calls out to me and I turn around. He's standing at the door. "Damn, he saw me?? I thought I was safe. No point in trying to run..." I clear my throat awkwardly. "Uh... hey... Thought I heard what sounded like trespassers... my bad. Didn't mean to disturb you." I explain nervously and he replies with a grin. "Hmm... it's alright." He responds. "?" I'm confused as I didn't expect him to take it so well, considering the last time I snuck up on him. Maybe it's because we're a bit more... acquainted now. "Alright, well, I'll be going then." I start to turn away. I just want to get away from this awkward situation. "Mhm. Tell your little boyfriend I said hi too, will ya?" He says and I'm totally caught off guard, abruptly turning back. "Boyfriend?!?! Who?!?" I question. "Saw you fixin' that light earlier. He caught you like it was a damn Disney movie." He explains. "Oh... oh no no.." I think to myself as the realization hits me. "Aiden is not my boyfriend. We had a joint task as the light was a two person job." I explain to him and he lets out a loud rumbling laugh. "I'm just playing with you, sweetheart. I would sure hope he's not. Though, you are pretty quick to explain yourself, hmm? Want to make it clear to me you're on the market. I get it." He says with a teasing tone. "No. I'd explain the same way to anybody." I feel myself heat up at his words. "Yeah, yeah. Oh, and don't be jealous about justa minute ago, alright? Those chicks meant nothin' to me." He says, pushing his glasses up. "I am not jealous. I don't have any reason to be." I say, offended by the claim. He grins. "Hmm... okay, dear. But I'll be seeing you tonight I hope? Hm?" He asks. "Uh. Yeah. I'll be there." I respond and look away, a bit embarrassed. "Perfect. See you then, doll." He leaves back into the room and I start to walk towards my things before picking them up and heading back to the staff area. "Jealous??? Why the hell would I be jealous??" I mean, I thought I was crazy... Guess other people are way more into them. I would never have guessed robots would have... human partners." I go over the situation in my head. Whatever. I need to get back to work.

And the day goes on...
