"Where do ya think you're going, sweetheart?" The seven foot tall bot sneered at me. "Uh, I heard a loud noise coming from this direction and figured I would make sure nothing was wrong." I said shakily, still in shock from the abrupt situation. My heart was racing faster than ever. "I don't think ya have any business back here, hmm? Area's off limits to maintenance staff." He said in an almost mocking tone as he stood over me. He was fucking giant. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't scared. But these things are children's entertainers, it's not like they could hurt me. They certainly didn't seem like they would be programmed to. However, just being able to talk to a robot in an intelligent way was unnerving to me. As I mentioned earlier, I don't have much experience with bots like these. "You're right." I blurt out, ready to just get the hell out of there. "Sorry for disturbing you, I'll get back to my work then." I say turning around to leave when I hear the gators low voice begin to speak again. "Not so fast now. You got a lotta nerve comin' back here disturbing me, and i'm not in the greatest mood." He says in a low menacing voice which makes me freeze in place. "Shit! He's not going let me leave? I thought these things were programmed to be harmless. They are right? So what does the thing want with me?" I start to panic. I start to hear loud footsteps approaching me and just as they are about to reach me, maybe a couple feet away. "Monty!" A deep voice calls out from the way I came from. A figure emerges from the darkness into the dim lit area. It's Freddy. That I know definitely. Everyone does as he's the most famous figure in children's entertainment right now. "Are you alright?" He says at me in a lower voice now. "This isn't a safe area for staff." he says with a almost concerned expression, for a robot at least. "Yeah, i'm alright. My fault for letting my curiosity get the best of me. I apologize." I bow my head slightly. "It's alright. Just wouldn't want any staff to get hurt! Now, shall I escort you back to the main areas?" The bear animatronic asks turning towards the way we came. "Aw come on, things were just about to get good, Fazbear. You ruined the fun." Montgomery says with a slight grin, eyes half closed. "No, Monty. Staff should stay in safe, well lit areas as to assure no one gets hurt." Freddy explains. I grab my flashlight from the floor and begin to follow the bear animatronic back to the main area. "Damn, these things are more intelligent than I thought." I thought to myself, still shaken from before, adrenaline finally wearing off. "Alright. We're in a safe area now. You should be good from here. I advise you not to wander in areas like that, as the circumstances are unpredictable. I need to get back to my room now and finish charging for tomorrow." Freddy starts to leave after flashing what I assumed was a smile. "Thank you." I say mustering a feint smile in return before gathering my senses back as I still had some work left before I could go home. I guess I got bragging rights out of that. I got to personally talk to two "celebrities" where normally staff at my level never get to even get close to. Not that I cared all that much. I didn't fully understand and why people idolized those things. After completing the remaining tasks, I packed up my stuff and headed out to my car to return home. My boss gave me a set of keys to the place, and I made sure everything was locked up before I left, considering I was the last to leave. I got to my apartment and slept the strange day off, needing energy for my hopefully normal shift the following day.

It's the next day and I arrive to my shift in the late afternoon. Groggy as the former late shift kept me up pretty late. I enter a staff room and greet my co-workers nonchalantly. Going over my personal list of repairs and such that I needed to do. Today was fairly easy and all my tasks were minor repairs and touch up work on small bots. Before I knew it it was late into the night and again it was just me and what I presumed was a security guard patrolling the upper floors. I didn't mind this shift as I wasn't particularly fond of interacting with people. It made me feel more comfortable knowing no one was watching me. I finished a light repair and grabbed my list out of my back pocket and darted my eyes down to my next task. "Another light repair." I sighed. "Huh?" This particular malfunctioning light happened to be in the hallway room right behind Montgomery Gator's room. "Perfect. Just what I need, right?" I say clicking my tongue in annoyance. Hopefully nothing will go wrong. He doesn't seem to be in the area often anyways, so I figured it'd be fine to do it whenever. I head to the area through the back hallways. I reached the roomwith the faulty light and took in my surroundings before beginning my work. There were more cobwebs then usual. "Maybe even the cleaning bots found this one unnerving." I think to myself amusingly. The thought of the bots being intelligent enough to feel fear and the situation in general made me laugh. "Somethin' funny?" A familiar piercing low voice sounds from behind me. "Shit." I whisper before hurriedly turning around in my crouched form where I was going through my tools. He's standing at the other side of the hallway room that we're in. This room, with a door leading directly into his own room. His eyes dart to my name tag. "Y/n, is it?" You know you're awfully ballsy comin here after disturbin' me the other day, huh?" He says with a grin. "Just doing my job, er, Montgomery. I didn't choose to come back here." I say trying to appear confident, though I could feel the adrenaline in me building up. He could easily overpower me. Kill me even. His claws are ridiculously sharp for a child's entertainer. "Oh? I see. Though... I don't really care. I'm bored as hell, sweetie." He steps forward now with a more serious look. Is he going to hurt me?! I instinctively step back but he continues towards me. "What the fuck?" I whisper to myself. I thought these things were programmed to be harmless! As he quickened his pace towards me, i throw the wrench I had in my hand at him, causing him to stop for a moment, growling at the sudden attack. "Oh, now you've pissed me off." He says with a menacing expression. While he regained his composure, I began to run around him towards the direction he entered from. I didn't know my way around the place perfectly, but from what I can remember, this should eventually lead to a security office near the main plaza. As I think that I over I suddenly notice the metal clanging footsteps behind me and the growling of the gator as he chases me through the dark hallways. "Fuck." I blurt. He's quick. I don't think I can keep this up for long. "You're in for it when I catch you. You're real stupid for that lil' outburst back there. I'm real mad now." He shouts continuing to chase behind me. I look back to see the distance between us, not noticing that directly ahead of me was a low hanging pipe. I collide with it at full speed, directly hitting my head.
Everything went black.
