My mom sure knew how to camoflague. When I caught sight of her, she looked right off the set of casualty, dressed like a nurse. I had to rub my eyes to believe it myself. Oh yeah, that means my mommy's a traitor.

I was just leaving the safety of our cosy broom cupboard because I needed to do a little research. I told the others to stay put because, frankly, there were things I'd rather they were in the dark about. Like my mom. And my past with Rick, Clare and Bennidict. Like he didn't have a mind of his own. Then he was flipping out over everything, and now he was playing prince charming, like nothing ever happend. I was really worried because, if my suspisions were right, the enemy might have the most powerfull weapon of all: controll of our minds. Unfortunately, my mother was looking guiltier by the second.

And now, as I turned the corner, she came into view. I felt sold out, cheated and betrayed. With that, I ducked down another hall, waiting.
