Part 16 Friends?

Third Person's POV

When the fight of the lan cousin's ended, one was shocked and the other one was furious.

They didn't even noticed the two who's watching them in shock who couldn't even move while Lan Wangji and Lan Xiaolian fights.

When the both Lan cousins separated from each other the two watching them spoked at the same time.

Wei Wuxian, "She cursed at him" unbelievable said

Lan Xichen , "This is a dilemma" shaking his head.

They both looked at each other's presence, shocked too at each other.

"Greetings to Young master wei" the saluted at each other while having a troubled smile plastered on their face.

"Greetings to Zewu-jun" Wei Wuxian spoked back.

After the awkward greetings to each other, they both go to their ways.

Lan Xichen was determined to talk to them this after noon and ease the fight between them while Wei Wuxian got back into his room to rest as instructed by Lan Xiaolian.

Wei Wuxian's POV

What a mess, i never knew she can really curse.

Im speechless...

It was because of me.

It was my fault triggering Lan Wangji, just wanted to tease him but as a result, I got this wound.

This is bad... I need to do something before this get really messed and tangled up.

When I was about to stood up suddenly my door opened revealing Jiang Cheng and Nie Huaisang.

" what an idiot" Jiang Cheng emphasized to me.

I just rolled my eyes at him.

Huaisang told me about the thing they learned at todays class and I admit, what a dismay... After that they got into their dorms because they said, they need to review notes because lady Da'xia will have to grill them a quiz tomorrow.

A heard a knock at my door and immediately opened it.

It was Xiaolian,

"Xiaolian? What are you doing here?" I asked her.

She's weird,

what's wrong?

She brought me here, on the loquat tree.

I looked at her confused, "you want to eat? I'm sorry I can't climb right now..."

"Just stay there I'll get it" her voice is so flat again.

"A lady climbing a tree, thats not a good sight Xiaolian" i shouted at her who's getting ready climbing the tree.

"Shut up" she replied before climbing the tree and got loquat. She look skilled as if she's used on climbing a tree.

What's really happening right now?

I sighed,

I cleared my throat, "How are you? I mean i saw you and your cousin Lan Zhan talk earlier this day....."

"Fine" she replied shortly.

"Its my fault that I'm wounded, you shouldn't have talked like that to your cousin and-"

"Look, don't talk anymore and just eat,  don't ever mention his name" she told me while her eyebrows where furrowed.

She handed me loquats and I ate them silently while sitting on a rock, while she is on my side sitting aswell.

Its already sunset and everything around us is turning golden colored and it was a pretty sight to look at.

I looked at the loquat I was eating,

"lets be friends"

I choked the fruit I was eating. I looked at her, "huh? what-?!"
*Cough*
*Cough*

"A Yes, yeah lets be friends" I was still shocked. This is the first time I felt speechless actually.

"When I was a kid i have no one to play with. I was fearless and asked father to wake up corpses so that I could play with them" she suddenly started.

"Huh?" I was about to choke again at her words, waking corpses to play with?!

"I know, lame..."

"Your fearless.." I spoke to her...unbelievable and also cute.....

I chuckled a bit because it was also kind of suggestion back then in the class. About waking up corpses... She got mad at me... Now i get it.

"After that i had to copy the Virtue section of Righteousness for long until I can memorize all words written in it"

My eyes widened, until she memorized it all? All of the sect rules.

All 3,000 rules!?

"You have a point too digging up graves... arouse their energy of resentment,  and use them to fight with the ferocious corpse...

its so easy just thinking about it but what about doing? We're not sure, what if they backlashed, attack us instead. Many lives would be involved... If only it was that easy"

Her voice seems like she's keeping something behind those sentences but i just decided to shut up.

"Right" i just nodded to her,

"But if i ever had a chance in the future i would totally try it, I'll do it in a place far from villages so that if ever it failed no one would be involved" I chuckled at my claim and looked at her.

"I'll join you" i looked at her...

Huh?

"wh-why?-"

I was startled when I saw her looking at me, when our eyes met I could clearly see the sides of her mouth goes up. I could feel my heart beating faster as I felt silent.

She smiled faintly, "cause your ridiculous"

After that its time to go back but i suddenly remembered something.

"Wait, can i borrow a bit your sword?" I asked her, she looked at me confused.

"Remember the first time we came here? Its our second time and we became friends. I want to carve our names here"

She unsheathed her sword, "your injured, what should i write?"

I chuckled ," right my arm is injured, i forgot." ,"How about 'Weiying and LanMei eats loquat here'?

"Lame..." she whispered,

"huhh?" I looked at her with my brows furrowed

"Nothing lets go, its done" she left then after her words.

I looked back at the tree, just thinking about whats engraved makes me smile.

" '缘分/yuanfen' WeiYing LanMei"

I smirked and followed her back.
