Part 6 Loquat

Third Person's POV

"Wei Wuxian what are you doing?!" A voice startled them.

Lan Xiaolian turned to the voice of his―"f-father?"

Lan Xiaolian and Wei Wuxian didn't realize how close they are to each other and immediately Xiaolian stood up causing their heads to bump 'ouch' and get close to his father to bow.

"What are you two doing?" He repeated while looking both of the two youth then he turned his head to his daughter, "you shouldn't be here"

One of the Gusu Lan Sect Rules is to limit the interactions of the opposite gender.

"I expect you already finished copying the Virtue and Conduct, let me see them" Lan Qiren spoke and walked to Wei Wuxian seat where he was copying the Virtue and Conduct. While Xiaolian saluted to his father.

Lan Qiren saw the paper and got mad, "How dare you do something without finishing copying. You are really stubborn. After copying, copy it again if not i will punish you more severe"
The father didn't even realized the drawing, it was her daughter on it.

Lan Qiren turned to his daughter, "what are you doing here Xiaolian?"

"Brrrr brrrr" a stomach rumble was heard.

Xiaolian has a fast metabolism making her stomach grumble more often if she don't eat in time.

Her Father didn't continued what he's about to say when he heard the grumble of his daughter's stomach and immediately mentioned her to come out.

Wei Wuxian who is holding his forehead because of the bump happened earlier wanted to laugh but he stopped himself.

While Lan Wangji only turned his head to her's astonishes.

Because of embarrassment, she quickly stepped away from library Pavilion following his father Lan Qiren,

"Lan Zhan make sure to watch him, don't let him get out without finishing" Lan Qiren spoke.

With a nod, Lan Wangji also bowed to show repect.

Lan Xiaolian POV

it's really embarrassing, "father we rarely eat together, tell me what is it"

We sat down and the foods are already on the table.

My father spoke, "You should eat first before your stomach growl again"

I bowed my head. I should really eat first.

We ate in silence, after we're finished my father got to the point straight, " i received a message from MingXui Sect that they will be sending disciple's to study here next month"

But i know our sect didn't invite them, "how father?" i asked.

"We sent invitations in every sect and clans, if I didn't sent them one they will call me us unfair so its better to send them than none. They can either accept or refuse them"

I signed, knowing them (the mingxui) sect will do everything to get the invitations, they'll do everything whenever its good or bad.

( The invitations by Gusulan Sect will be send to the other sects, inviting them for a class in Cloud Recess )

" I want you to get ready, avoid that man at any cost. Make sure your not alone, have lan Zhan on your side if he's free." I nodded at father.

My father is talking about Xuizhen― the soo to be sect leader of Mingxui Sect a psychopath, disgusting, jerk, and arrogant.
