You were going to apologise, reconnect your friendship, and maybe try to create something more with the bear. You were shaking like a leaf as you hunted for Freddy, but the adrenaline you felt made you feel alive.
You ran all around the place. The Atrium, the west arcade, the front entrance, the kitchen, the daycare, and the many, many hallways. But he was nowhere to be found. You asked Chica and Roxy if they had seen them but they both had the same reply, 'no'. You even had the courage to go to the daycare and ask Sundrop as the lights were still on, but he also shook his head.
Admitting defeat, you made your way back to your room. It was getting late and you needed to charge before guests arrived. With your tail dragging, your ears down and your shoulders slumped you trudged back to your (f/c) and (sf/c) room. You felt awful for giving up your search, but you had no idea where he could be.
Walking to the end of the dimly lit hall, you went backstage and walked to your door. As you got closer to your room, you started to notice a body laying on the floor. As you got closer you noticed it was Freddy, laying limp at your front door. And boy did you have a heart attack. Running to him you skidded on your knees and looked down at him.
What happened? Is this my fault? I am such AN IDIOT.
You clawed at your head. This was no time to have a headache that felt like it was melting your exoskeleton. Ignoring your pain you looked down at Freddy. He hadn't shut down yet, which you concluded as you could hear his gears and systems working. He hadn't had a malfunction otherwise his system would have tripped an alarm to send warning to staff.
Maybe he is low on power? But why would he come here if he was low on power?
Shaking your head clear of those questions that just enhanced the burning pain, you stood up. You took firm hold of his shoulders and took a deep breath as you lifted his upper half up so you could drag him to his room.
Wow, you are a lot heavier than you look but what am I to expect from a 7 foot robot.
You tried for several minutes to drag him to his room. Your ears started to hurt from the constant scrapping of his metal on the floor. Sighing you noticed how you barely moved an inch away from your room and he was running short on time.
Finally making a decision, you began to drag him back to your room. You opened the door up and pulled him inside. Dragging him over to your (f/c) charging station with (sf/c) outlines was a breeze, getting him inside the charging pod was a different story.
You tried to get him inside with your own strength. Fail. You attempted to use a chair to prod him up. Fail. You tried a broom you got form the cleaners closet. Fail. Basically anything you tried failed. With no other options, you meddled with the charging station to disconnect the power wires and connected it into Freddy's chest, which was a very weird experience. Sitting so close to him, touching him, you honestly felt embarrassed even though it was for his own good.
For the rest of the night you let him rest in your room as you went outside and charged in an emergency charging station in case one of the ones in the room broke. It wasn't as comfy as yours, definitely lacking in the cushioning, but it got the job done.
Walking into your room, you could feel your metal joints screech and hiss. You held your back as you leaned over your desk.
I feel like an old grandma. And comedy bot says robots don't get old.
Cracking your back with a satisfying click of your metal endoskeleton, you quickly fixed your fur as it was a hot mess. You covered up the scratches that you embedded on you head with you fur and brushed your tail so it wasn't as frizzy.
While you were cleaning yourself up you heard a groan come from your little couch. Turning around you were met with a waking up Freddy. He held a paw to his head, shaking himself awake. He looked around your room for a bit before meeting your eyes. "How did I get in here?" he asked. You stood up and patted down your fur a bit more, "You passed out in front of my door." You made your way to him and started unplugging him from the charging system. You held in your blush as you felt his hot breath hit your face.
"Oh, I did? So-" You cut him off, spinning to face him after you placed the exposed wires away, "I'm sorry. It was my fault you were there in the first place, I was mean to you and ignored you for no reason and I have been a major jerk this whole week." You rambled, gulping in air as you continued on rambling your apologise. Freddy smiled. "Honestly I was going to say sorry for being a jerk to you. I lashed back without asking what was wrong." You both remained quite for a bit.
You suddenly started to giggle make the bears ears wiggle. "Whats so funny?" he asked trying to hid a growing grin. "We were both such jerks to each other making us apologise like for the a millionth time, and we only met two months ago," you giggled. He laughed along, "That's so true. Its like saying sorry is becoming a sort of flirty word between us." He covered his hands with his mouth blushing as he said that. You stared at him before laughing some more. "It kind of is." He lowered his hands as he saw you laughing, chuckling a little himself.
You both quietened down as your door opened. The short man you meet everyday walked in not even looking up. "Since today is your scheduled checkup day there will be no performance as per usual. All you have to do is go out and socialise with the kids in a few okay," he informed. You nodded, but knew he couldn't see as he kept his head down was his back was to you. You looked at Freddy with a smile holding your paw out as you helped him off your sofa. "Ready?" You nodded. "Born ready."
