"Wish me luck," I told Mal standing in front of her before walking into the Cathedral. I felt the eyes all on me as I slowly walked down the blue carpet in the middle of the path. The big stained glass window that had a beautiful picture of my parents was shining into the cathedral. As I passed everyone they all bowed their heads. I reached Fairy Godmother and my parents and kneeled in front of them. Fairy Godmother placed the crown on my head. Fairy Godmother lifted the glass case and retrieved her wand walking back in front of me.

"Do you solemnly swear to govern the peoples of Auradon with justice and mercy as long as you shall reign?" she asked me.

"I do solemnly swear," I told her. She knighted my shoulders speaking the blessing.

"Then it is my honor and my joy to bless our new king," she smiled at me. Jane grabbed the wand from her hand and the room filled with gasps.  Flickers and a stream of magic came out of the wand. "Child what are you doing?"

"If you won't make me beautiful, I'll do it myself! Bibbidi-bobbidi-boo!" Jane cried.

   "Take cover!" my father cried.

"Careful Mal!" my mother said. Mal grabbed the wand from Jane's hands.

"Mal, give me the wand," I told her holding out my hand.

   "Stand back!"

   "It's okay."

"Ben I said stand back!" Mal shouted.

"I told you something like-" Audrey said before screaming as Mal pointed the wand at her.

   "Let's go!" Carlos said.

"Revenge time!" Jay told Mal while looking at me.

"You really want to do this?" I asked.

"We have no choice Ben! Our parents-" Mal started.

"Your parents made their choice," I told her looking at her. "Now you make yours."

"I think I want to be good."

   "You are good!"

"How do you know that?" Mal shouted pointing the wand at me again.

"Because- because I'm trusting my heart."

"We are not our parents," Mal says turning around to face Jay, Carlos, and Evie. "I mean, stealing things doesn't make you happy. Tourney and victory pizza with the team makes you happy." Mal says to Jay. She turns to Carlos, "And you, scratching dude's belly makes you happy. Who would've thought?" Finally, she turns to Evie, "And Evie... You do not have to play dumb to get a guy. You are so smart. And I don't want to take over the world with evil. It doesn't make me happy. I want to go to school. Us being friends makes me really happy. Not destroying things. I choose good, you guys." She sticks her hand into the center of them.

"I choose good too," Jay responds putting in his hand.

   "I choose good," Evie smiles.

"So, just to be clear, we don't have to be worried about how really mad our parents will be? Because they're gonna be really, really mad," Carlos asks.

"Your parents can't reach you here," I smile at them. We hear a large boom over head and turn to see green mist coming into the Cathedral. The mist gathers in front of me and the rest of the VK's. Fairy Godmother stands shocked. The mist fades to show two figures, Maleficent and a H/C girl wearing a yellow dress.

   "I'm back!" Maleficent cries smiling.

"Go away mother!" Mal says holding the wand firmly in her hands. "Y/n," Mal whispers to the girl moving her hand to get the girl to come towards her.

"Ah ah ah!" Maleficent says. She turns to the girl and points her staff at her. "She's being obedient, unlike some children."

"I'm sorry Mal, I-I have to," Y/n, as Mal had called her, says to the group of VK's.

   "Give me the wand Mal!"

   "No!" Mal cries

"Fine," Maleficent turns to the girl and turns her to stone. "How about now? Your best friend turned to stone." Mal turns towards her mother going to hand her the wand but throws it to Fairy Godmother who begins her spell. but Maleficent jumps in before she can finish.

The feeling I felt next was unimaginable. The feeling of nothing. I could not feel, I could not hear or taste or see. The only thing I could feel was cold, like I had passed into the next phase of life, but I knew it was only the spell.

All of a sudden it was like the feeling was gone. I ran to fight Maleficent but she was gone. The only thing in front of me was the girl, I ran right into her and we crashed to the ground.

"Oops, sorry," I smiled shyly. She smiled shyly right back. Mal helped her up as I stood up and got a better examination of her, her H/c hair looked familar and her eyes where a striking E/C.

"Ben, this is Y/n, from the Isle. She has something she wants to tell you," Mal says to me.

"What?" me and the girl say.

"Y/n the letter?" Mal points to her and then at me.

"Oh," Y/n pulls out a letter from a hidden pocket. "I receive letters from a Ben but I didn't think it was the Prince. That makes things a little more uh complicated."

"You've been reveiving my letters?" I asked she nodded. "Well, It's nice to meet you. I'm Prince Ben. My parents are Belle and Beast."

She laughed, it was the perfect pitch to be the beginning of the song my mother would sing to me when I was younger, "I'm Y/n Gaston, daughter of Gaston. My father has another son but he isn't the best father figure."

"Would you like to accompany me to the dance tonight?" I felt my stomach tickle when she smiled nodding.

We began dancing and she smiled, the fireworks were not the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. But this would not be the end of our story, not yet anyway.

Dear Y/n Gaston,

It's nice to finally meet you. Thank you for being here when I needed someone to talk to. I hope you can see all the wonderful things Auradon holds for the future.

With Love,

Prince Ben Beast
