I watched Gil leave the tavern, heading over to Uma's while I put on my leather jacket. I said good bye to my dad then walked out the tavern door over to Curl Up and Dye. Today was my first official day of work. The only reason I got the job was so that I wouldn't be lonely while the other's where in Auradon.

"Hey, Diz!" I told the shorter girl when I walked in. She greeted me back with a wave and turn to her sketchbook.

"I was thinking about that leather jacket idea for that boy! The one that sends you letters and I came up with this design," Dizzy showed me a royal blue jacket with dark blue areas and some yellow and red mixed into the jacket as an accent color.

"It's beautiful Diz! Thank you for doing this for me."

"No problem. I think he's going to like it!" I smiled at the younger girl.

"Me too," Evie had taught me how to sew and make close. I took the drawing of the jacket and put it into my coat and got to work for the day. My first client was Carlos's mother. She needed her hair dyed and permed, as usual.

I got started on the dye. When I was close to being done with the dye, she asked me a question.

"Do you miss them?" The question made me jump back in surprise.

"Of course I miss them. They were my best friends. I had no one else beside my brother."

"Do you think that making them do something bad is the wrong thing?"

"Well, I think that if they want to get away from you guys this is their chance. I know I would," I paused. "From my father, that is."

"Gasty, do you think Carlos will like it there?"

"I think that once he's used to it, yes. Auradon is a beautiful place where you can be who you want to be. I'm a little upset I wasn't chosen to go."

"I understand dear. You would have been perfect for Auradon. You've never done one bad thing in your life."

"Thanks Mrs. Devil." I continued on her hair as she watched me closely. One her hair was finished she payed and tipped me well. "Thank you, I don't know what to say."

"I know why you got the job really. Not because your lonely or bored."

"Thank you," I hugged her and waved as she walked out the door.

"Y/n!" Lady Tremaine screamed as I was turning back around to continue my job.

   "Yes?"

"I need you to stay late and help Dizzy clean the place."

"I really can't stay late, I have my brother and my fath-"

"I think they'll understand." I took in a deep breath and sighed.

   "Yes, ma'am."

"Good!" she turned and walked back the way she came.

I took at least four more clients before the shop closed and it was just me and Dizzy left. We were cleaning up when Harry walked in.
