I sit in my quiet office. The work I'm trying to accomplish is annoying and boring, my kingly duties. I reach over and press a button before talking into a microphone, "Deborah?"
"Yes, your Majesty?" a female voice responds.
"Can you ask Lumiere to call me regarding Cotillion?"
"Yes sir."
"Thank you." I turns back to my work when I hear the soft knock on the door. "Come in," I responds.
"Ben?" Y/n peaks past the door as she opens it. "Can I talk to you about something."
"Of course," I push my royal duties aside and turns to grab a chair and place it next to mine. "What's wrong?"
"I'm afraid," she confesses as she sits next to me, brushing out any wrinkles in her dress. Her knees gently touching mine. "I think I've upset Mal. We started talking about the cotillion and then everything after, and she kind of blew up in my face when I told her I was stressed. I just-" she takes a deep breath and looks towards the window across from her. "I think I might have drove her to do something irrational."
"What do you mean?"
"I mean," she turns back to me looking into my eyes. "She started talking about the Isle again and I got upset with her because she said she wanted to go back. I understand the feeling of not belonging. I don't belong here, that's pretty evident." I reach my hand out and grab hers. "I'm afraid that she left and went back."
"If she did go back to the Isle it isn't your fault."
Y/n stands, heaving an exasperated sigh, "But it is Ben. I'm the one that blew it. She's been under so much pressure lately, and instead of being understanding, I just went all-" she searches for the word.
"Beast?" I asks glancing at her.
"Yeah," she sighs heavily again. I stand taking her hands.
"We can go get her back, or try to convince her to come back."
"If I'm going, you are not going," Y/n states looking at me.
"If you are going I'm going," I say back the same tone in my voice.
"No," Y/n states.
"Yes," I state back. "I'm not letting you face it all by yourself. We can go get Evie and the boys and we can go together."
"There is safety in numbers."
I raise my hand and grab her chin making her look directly into my eyes. I whisper to her in a soft voice, "Were ever you go, I'm going." Y/n's face rushes red, I smile seeing the small change in her cheeks.
"Fine," Y/n says her voice small, "But let's get two things straight. You have to promise me that I won't get stuck there again."
I let out a soft laugh, "Done."
"And there's no way you're going looking like that," she smiles taking a small glance at my shirt collar, which being the only thing she could see with her head where it's at.
"Alright, give me a make over then," I chuckle softly at her face as it lights up with ideas.
"Oo, how about a blue leather jacket and maybe-" Y/n begins, I stop listening, not intentionally but because I'm watching her facial expression. I doesn't get to see her this passionate about things very often. The first time I saw this was when she brought me her favorite book, which coincidentally enough was Beauty and the Beast. She said she liked how the story ended with the prince getting the girl and having the soft moment of the two in the rain. I lean her head up a little more and mine down, reaching her cheek I place a soft kiss. Y/n stops speaking and flushes red again. "We should probably get you changed so we can go get Mal."
I chuckle, "Probably. Lead the way your lady-ship." Y/n smiles and grabs my hand leading me back to her room, where Evie is standing reading a letter from Mal stating she was going back to the Isle. Y/n explains what's happening and Evie agrees and takes Y/n's ideas for my clothing.
"There," Y/n and Evie smile at each other seeing the outfit they had created. "I think this is the best look yet Bean!" I smile at the nickname Y/n had just given me.
"Bean?" I ask.
"Yeah cause your tall like a bean sprout," the small group laughs and continues on our journey to rescue Mal. We reach the car with Jay and Carlos in tow, Dude following after next to Evie.
"Jay, Keys, remote," I state as I walks over to the drivers seat.
"Shotgun!" Y/n and Dude both shout.
"No, Dude stay. The isle is way to dangerous," Carlos says looking down at the mutt.
"Did he just-" Y/n asks.
"Take? Yeah, I know. I'll tell you later."
"Let's go!" I call from the drivers seat. We all get into the car, me in the drivers, Y/n in passengers and the rest in the back. Once we see the barrier on the Isle, Y/n's hand grabs mine. I squeeze her hand gently, assuring her that I'm still here.
The group reaches a safe hiding spot for the car, "Ben, help me with the tarp. Jay!" Carlos shouts quietly to us.
"It's really weird being back here," Y/n says not moving from my side. Once the tarp is up I reach around her shoulders and holds her close, I can feel her shaking softly from the thought of being trapped here again.
"We'll get in and get out!" Jay says to the group.
"Hey guys. keep it chill. All right? Last thing we need is our parents finding out we're here," Carlos states before turning to Y/n who is standing under my arm.
"Yeah, I would like to not see my father. At all cost," Y/n says quietly.
"Keep your hands in your pockets. Unless you're stealing," Evie says to the group reminding them.
"You either slouch or strut," Y/n says back.
"And never ever smile," Evie states.
"Okay, thanks-" I say.
"No, no thank you and drop the please too. Just Chill, Bean," Y/n says grabbing my hand from around her shoulder.
Dear Y/n,
I believe in true love, I believe that I am falling for you. I am afraid that this adventure could end badly but as long as I have you by my side, all will be well.
Love you dearly,
